The Monkey story was just so sad, it really had me going... I'm very glad she didn't turn in the lab worker :)

For being so smart V's shock that they were going to get another monkey was a bit overdone. They already told her if the monkey wasn't found they would have to start over, even if the research data was recovered.

and to add to what movieking said, in the beginning when Veronica asked what the monkey's name was the lab chick said "We don't give them names and wrap up squeaky toys for Christmas." Which is why the squeaky toy was a big clue.

This show just isn't as good anymore. It's not the same show it used to be.
Network medling!

Kristen Bell will actually be appearing here in Orlando this weekend at a Con, so all of you are out of luck, she'll be agreeing to be *my* mistress tomorrow. :)

The show hasn't been the same since the Lilly Kane mystery was resolved. But it doesn't really have anything to do with network medling, it just that the show evolved into what I could become... I mean Veroinca couldn't be solving the death of a best-friend/family memeber every season (the only way to get back to the emotional impact of season 1) or they would run out of cast members faster than '24'...

Even though the show isn't what it was in season 1, its still a cut above most and worthy to keep on.

Take lots and lots of pictures and post them here. If you don't, there will be a angry horde of DVDTalkers with pitchforks and torches coming after you. :)

Oh my god! It was driving me so nuts! I kept thinking while I was watching this ep how familiar the animal nut who Mac ended up asking out was. After a lot of searching, I finally figured it out. He was from Invasion and Thief. Ugh! Now that the little saga is over ...

I thought it was an OK ep. It wasn't the absolute best or anything, but it had been so long since we last got a new VM episode that I'm not going to complain too much. Really happy that it's finally back. And let's just hope that its numbers continue going up so we can be treated to another season.

I don't think he was on Invasion, but he definitely was the guy from Flash Forward. You know that Disney Channel show from the early 90's (when that channel was actually half decent).

^^^ Well, I looked him up and he was on Invasion. I completely remember him from it, too, and I also now remember him from a Standoff episode. It doesn't show him as being on Flash Forward. In fact, his first acting credit listed is from 2003.

There were numerous episodes in season one that barely addressed or didn't address at all the Lily Kane story, and were basically standalone episodes. I don't think this was any worse than any of those. I enjoyed this episode.

Agreed. Season 1 was incredible television, but it is still very good. It seems somewhat more "chicky" this year, but I still love the show and hope it gets another season.

I think part of what made the first season so great was that Veronica was an outcast. That dynamic with her character made her much more interesting.

I hope this isn't going to be an ongoing thing where Veronica and Logan are frequently breaking up and getting back together.

Yep, I think so, too. Plus, it made the theme song actually seem relevant to the show. Once Veronica quit being the outcast, the words of the song didn't seem to represent the direction the show was going, but it said so much about Veronica before.

The temporary tattoos they gave out were plugging her new movie, "Fanboys." Everyone got them on the way in. I was actually surprised she wasn't selling any of the promo pics from that movie. Don't you think *this* might have sold a few extra pictures?
