Aaron Sorkin:
in his own words
By Aaron Barnhart Kansas City Star in his blog “TV Barn” January 21, 2007
The co-creator of "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" invited TV critics onto his set last week, and held forth about the future of his show, criticism of "Studio 60's" less-than-scintillating sketch comedy pieces, and what he really thinks about bloggers and the L.A. Times.
You've read the transcripts, but there really is no substitute for Sorkin in his own entertaining voice.
You can hear it here, and it is a great listen:

I'm glad the show is back, if only so I never have to see another one of those shitty promos NBC has been running for the last couple weeks.
I'll withhold judgment until I watch the show, but I don't like what I've been hearing -

I enjoyed Jordan's little revelation as Matt was reading off another one of the 48 Powers.
Is Steven Weber the unheralded star of the show?

It's too bad Sorkin didn't aim higher with his show -- a drama about the network does seem like it would be more compelling than one about the show.

On another note Jordan's revelation was what exactly? That the new hire was a fan of the book? Funny side note, I was actually playing my Nintendo DS at the same time (not a good sign I guess) and missed this part.

That being said ... they do need to make him a little less creepy.

Danny's 'no' at the end wasn't cute and endearing like "Roy will do anything to get Pam back" from The Office, it was more like that Richard Thomas/Brooke Shields telepic, the one where he takes the entire building hostage.
Left me extremely uneasy......

I've got to say, I'm enjoy the behind the scenes stuff about Macau with Asner and Weber far more than the main part of the show.

I agree - I think the network politics is far more interesting

I agree to some extent, but after a while wouldn't NBS start feeling like "Boston Public" where every little thing that could possibly happen at a high school, or television network, happens at THIS one?
