What was the last thing Michael said when hiding behind the door? Something along the lines of how Andy had no sense of what people thought of him. Pretty ironic coming from Michael since he is exactly the same way.

What about when they wanted to blind-fold him and he said "I don't need that!"

Then went around the office smashing everything hanging from the ceiling

It doesn't seem to be from this episode. The reason I pointed it out as a potential spoiler was because Dwight is in the photo.

My favorite moment has already been mentioned: the Officer and a Gentleman parody. Fairly subtle, but just silly enough to make it funny.

I've actually worked with an "Andy" before, a guy who would completely flip out when pranks were pulled on him. It was fun to see Michael as the "straight man" for once.

I kinda agree with this. Ryan's been getting on my nerves this season. In fact, I enjoyed seeing him get knocked down a peg in last week's ep.

That was the funniest part for me too. The pot calling the kettle black. I don't know the exact quote but it was along those lines. I thought it was something about him being so socially unaware.



As for Ryan, I think he's nailing the emotional state of his character. He never intended to be a true employee and then did. He had a miserable outing with Dwight for training and then bombed with Stanley. I think his line when Jim said he liked him better as a temp and he responded, "Yeah, me too," was the key. He's so bitter and disillusioned right now. He can't fathom why he took the permanent job but that couple with him actually failing at it has got to be a blow to his self-confidence.

Andy could be my favorite character ever, I'm going to be seriously bummed if they don't keep him around.

As for Ryan, I think his character is supposed to be the sterotypical person who hates their job and wants nothing to do with anyone there.

Andy as well is supposed to be incredibly annoying to the point it's not funny. When he gets fired (which I thought might have happened after he punched a hole in the wall) we'll all be happy.

DING! DING! DING! Thank God somebody got this. Basically I see Ryan as a foil to Andy. He just wants to do his job and get the hell outta there each day, while Andy loves being there so much that he tries to extend the day into social activities with his co-worker AFTER work.

Dwight was hilarious with the comment at Staples, "Okay, but I'm not doing your laundry anymore." Michael: "We'll discuss that..."

What's with all the hatin' on Andy? I loved this exchange:

Michael: (speaking of Dwight leaving) Its a big loss. Dwight was our top salesman.

Andy: Was our top salesman.

Michael: I said "was."

Andy: Right. Addition by subtraction.

Michael: Whaaaat does that even mean? That is impossible.

Andy: Mmmhhh...Yeah, you're right.

One word: TUNA!

I hate Andy and want him gone. Other than him going insane last night, I don't think he's funny at all.

I don't understand why people don't think he's funny. Every time he's on camera he cracks me up.

I wince whenever he's onscreen.

I think the sole reason that Andy is asking Michael to hang out with him is not that he likes his work so much, it's because he's a giant kissass and wants to try to endear himself in hopes of self-promotion, exactly as Michael mentioned at the end of the episode.

I was actually wondering if Andy's crap might help Michael be a little more self-aware about himself. Probably wishful thinking though.

Also, count me amongst the many that can't wait for Andy to get canned. I hope he goes out in a supernova of fury, as long as no one actually gets hurt. Above all though, I would really love it if it turned out that he really didn't graduate from Cornell afterall and was only faking it to make himself look better.

Andy was funny for a short time when he started his new gig. I laughed for a while ...

But last nite he was completely annoying and more importantly, not funny!

Haven't seen the long cut yet, but is the top down scene the reason why Michael looked so disheveled when he went to save Dwight? I was thinking there had to be some deleted scene which would have explained that. . .

I guess Ryan had a Turkey sandwich since Andy referred to him as "Big Turkey" ?

Also, does anybody else think that Andy is attempting to bug Jim since he now views Jim as his nemesis (since Dwight's out of the picture)? After all Jim is number 2.

But wasn't he also the guy who got drunk in the office with Jim and slept there that one time in Stanford?

Yeah, I'm in that group, too. I think he can be an entertaining character when he's toned down about five notches, but not when he is so over the top that it becomes just bizarre. The character of Andy (and the occasional trend toward similarly 'waaay-too-over-the-top wackiness' from some of the other characters) has been what has made this season less entertaining than the last season for me.

I'm hopeful that when Andy is finally written out, the show will fully settle back into its traditional style - slightly goofy, but firmly anchored in reality.
