Glad to see Scorsese get best director and Sacha Baron Cohen get best comedy actor.

yeah, it's nice to see Baron Cohen NOT as Borat for once. He's a cool guy.

Bummer about Penelope and her Volver's not winning.

I am tired of Dreamgirls and Ugly Betty. Should I have watched either of these? Am I missing something?

Some actress Courtney Cox is -- she could barely cover her bitch-face while announcing Grey's Anatomy as the winner for best drama.

It's not like Dirt was competing for the award. Or is she just jealous of a #1 show starring a stick figure that isn't her?

Every time I see Forest Whitaker, I can't forget that he's the dude chasing Van Damme in Bloodsport.

yeah that was great, Greys Anatomy is not the best drama its overrated GARBAGE.

No there both overrated pieces of GARBAGE.

to tell you the truth the whole GOLDEN GLOBES & any other awards show is GARBAGE! how about we don't have so many award shows and have more NEW episodes of tv shows.

the actors paycheck should be enough of an award.

SORRY if i said GARBAGE alot but it does some up this event.

(George Clooney is the one of the only good people there.)

What was with Alec Baldwin's sarcastic look when Arnold came out?

Why is Arnold on crutches?

In case you weren't aware of it, Alec is your typical hollywood liberal, so I'm sure he felt it necessary to mock Arnold since he's a republican. I like Alec as an actor, but he seems like a complete douchebag in real life.

Well, I would say it's because Ahnuld is a Republican, but he's also a pretty lib guy, so you'd think Alec Baldwin would like him.

He broke his leg skiing over the holidays. Ironic since he appears in those California ads on a ski slope.

Ugly Betty is a good show, although I can see how it wouldn't be some people's cup of tea. I certainly think it is superior to the already-tired and overrated show it leads into. Would I rate it a better comedy than Office or Earl? No, but I think it is a deserving comedy nominee (although a big reason for that is the dearth of good comedies on television nowadays). I don't really care that Office got snubbed - I never take these awards shows seriously.

Yeah, I'm no fan of liberal politics, but that wasn't the liberal in Baldwin showing through, that was the douchebag.

Other thoughts:

Hugh Laurie...bravo. Somewhere Baldrick and Blackadder are celebrating the success of your cunning plan.

Ugly Betty winning was flat out ridiculous.

While listening to Clint I kept thinking of him in a dusty pancho, chewing on a hand rolled heater, and squinting under the brim of a faded cowboy hat. The man is a living legend, and easily the most talented person to ever set foot in Hollywood.

Sorry fans, but King Borat has no clothes. While Sacha certainly has been known to be funny, this Borat thing... well, enough already.

I have to post this because both my wife and I were in complete shock.

Has Reese Witherspoon ever looked better? I've never found her attractive before tonight. She should have dropped that guy a long time ago.

No mention of that awkward moment after Ugly Betty's America Ferrara (?) won her award? The hostess was doing an unrelated spiel and America walked up like she was supposed to be interviewed and just sort of stood there smiling. Then it seemed like someone signalled the hostess and she had to come up with a makeshift interview so America could save face, but it just made it even more awkward.

I've watched every single GG show since '91 and this was the worst one ever as far as who won and who didn't.

I have always liked Reese a lot, but I do think she looked as good as she ever has tonight.

The interview mess up with America wasn't as bad as the really inappropriate question when they finally did get things straight about if America was shocked that she even got the show because the network didn't want her. You don't say that to a an actor/actress in that situation and I felt really bad for her having to even stay there and continue with the interview.

Does anyone really think the more stuffy and, all of a sudden more credible, Oscars will have a Dreamgirls love fest? I have nothing against it, I just don't think anyone or the film has a chance to win except Jennifer Hudson. And if the academy gives one big award to this musical and Eddie Murphy is a nominee, I think they go with a "dramatic" actor for the supporting male category.

Nice to see Gillian Anderson in the US for a day and she looked very good.

And they are foreigners, with Germany having the most votes. We are lucky that The Hoff doesn't win something every year.

THE WIRE not getting any nominations after it's terrific last season proves that the Golden Globes is a bunch of bullshit.
