pretty interesting episode. the whole sex/pill thing was pretty obvious on how it was going to turn out. judging from the preview, it should be interesting on how the alma thing continues next week.

Zach showing up as the mystery date was good funny, as was Carlos going over to her place afterwards.
I wonder how many more episodes Marcia Cross has, she looks like she's not going to fit in frame for much longer if they keep doing those close-up shots.

It struck me that Orson's ex wife was just like his mother: crazy and determined to make him look bad. I just get the feeling he didn't kill that woman, and they are just holding that over his head for some reason....maybe there's more to the story? I just can't believe they would make it seem so cut and dry that he did it. There's a twist coming.

"I thought you were meeting a psycho killer for lunch, I was worried...at least until they brought out the crayons and children's menus."
Really enjoyed this episode, especially Gabby and Carlos.
Definitely agree that it felt like a setup episode.

I thought Carlos was very funny in this. It looked like Gabby had zero boobage in that blue dress.

I asked my girlfriendabout this, and she said if you go to a clinic you can get it under 18, but if you go to your gynecologist your parent has to be notified. I have no idea if that is accurate or not.

I didn't think about Zach being Gabby's admirer. That completely caught me off guard, but it was very funny.
This show is just so much stronger this season than last. They have really managed to right the ship, I think.
As for the birth control pill thing, I really don't know for sure what the laws are about that. But I wouldn't be surprised if those laws are different from state to state.

I believe laws on the pill do vary state to state.
Spainlinx0 girlfriend is correct about how it was in my home state (at least 10-12 years ago when I was in high school anyway). 18 to get it from a regular dr. or gynecologist without a parent, but could get it below that from the county health department. There was an age limit on that too, but I don't recall what it was. Probably 15 or 16.

I thought Bree and Orson were going to up and out because they couldn't Alma to leave, and that was the way they would temporarily write her out of the show for her maternity leave.

Even if Orson didn't kill anyone, he did knowingly and willingly ran over Mike, which could have easily led to his death, so I don't think that he is exactly pure of heart.
The banned opening line was probably my favorite line from this whole series.
Are condoms really only 85% effective? I thought they were higher than that.
A couple of possible spoilers (DH has changed planned storylines before):

Besides, STDs should have been a concern for them since Julie said they were "in love" and assumed they were monogamus. Obviously condoms were still necessary since who knows where the self-dubbed "Van DeTramp" has been!
