To me, just Bart Lisa and Marge look Japanese anime. The others more or less look like American drawings.

I was going to say almost the same thing. Only Bart and Lisa really look Anime, the others look more like something in an American comic book.

Looks like the artist just landed himself some jobs thanks to all the internet buzz over his picture.

I think the 'creepy' factor is because the artist was sticking with the same expressions the characters had in the original picture. At least as far as Krusty and Willy are concerned. The only ones that look too menacing in contrast to the original pic are Otto and the twins, but that's more of an interpretation of those characters eye shapes and brows (and Otto's overbite), I think. Some things just don't translate as well between styles, maybe?
