Knights of Prosperity *Series Premier* Pilot (1-3-2007)

Pilot
January 3, 2007
9:00 PM ABC
In the premiere episode, "Pilot," Eugene Gurkin's (Donal Logue) dreams always have exceeded his means. In fact his dead end job on the late, late janitorial shift won't even fund a bottle of premium booze. In a serendipitous moment, he catches an episode of an entertainment news show and his passion is ignited. Soon he excitedly recruits a group of "average joes" into his "gang" -- "The Knights of Prosperity" -- to plan the celebrity heist. The first order of business is to get a copy of the key to Jagger's apartment. And, as usual for this group of "Ocean's idiots," nothing comes easily.

Looks cool that Mick Jagger is in it but I don't have much hope for this show. Any show that has a preview of the lead actor singing a Rush song is worth at least one watch.

Yes, I read that it starts out bad .... but gets better after a few episodes.

Same thing that was said about The Class and 30 Rock.

I'll definitely give this one a shot. I was a fan of Donal Logue in Grounded For Life and hope this show does well.

The previews made this look awful.

I remember hearing so much about this show and its name change a few months ago that I assumed that it had already premiered and gotten cancelled.

The creators of this show also made "Ed", so I'm in for a few episodes.

Yep. I'll stick with it for now. The cast works pretty well together.

Mick takes penalties better than half the England team as well.

Not bad, better than I expected; I'll be watching next week.

The previews look pretty good, all the star cameos must be living in the same building as Mick.

I thought this show was pretty damn funny, I loved the shots of Jagger in his house acting like an extentric bastard. I'll keep watching.

Loved it! Excellent premiere, great cast, charm. The shots of Jagger at his flat were hilarious.

I think it seems more like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia plus The Score, but maybe that's just me.

It was OK. It was just the pilot though, so it will likely get better.

I liked In Case of Emergency much better.

I saw the pilot a few months ago, and the second viewing tonight didn't really move off the fence yet on the show.

I like them, er I mean, it, the show.

I agree with the Earl/Ocean 11 reference - nothing wrong with that. The Mick stuff was great.

I agree that the Mick stuff was the best part.

Hope it gets better.

I really liked it. Hiring the intern and spouting off the entire plan to the waitress were my favorite parts. I really hope it's a surprise hit, because ABC sucks and this this doesn't fit in with anything they have. Seems like if it's not Desperate Houswives, The Bachelor or According to Jim, they don't seem interested in giving it a chance.

Hopefully Letterman has enough pull to keep it on the air. That seemed to work for Ed, because I don't know how that stayed on NBC as long as it did.

I thought it was merely OK. Some funny parts but if it weren't for In Case of Emergency following it, I probably wouldn't watch...

Weak show ... it precedes In Case of Emergency and that is the only reason I could watch this show.

Nope ... It's not a good enough reason.

Way too much like Earl.

I was a fan!

The cast seems to work well together, The lead charachter is the best (I liked him on Grounded 4 Life).

I am adding it to my DVR

I loved it. Donal Logue is just perfect for this show. Mick Jagger's kitchen, with him practicing penalty kicks, was hilarious. Hopefully they'll find good excuses to get Sofia in an Entrapment outfit.

das
