I live in the city it's being filmed at. Filming started Thanksgiving weekend. The show will feature Erik Estrada ("CHiPS"), Jack Osbourne ("The Osbournes"), Trish Stratus (former WWE Women's Champion), Wee Man ("Jackass"), and LaToya Jackson.

It's going to get canned 100% guaranteed. Something like this belongs on VH1 or MTV. Can't believe the folks at CBS would stoop this low.

The Surreal Police Academy? I'll pass... this is what Trish left the WWE for?

Armed and Famous (CBS)
Anyone heard about this new reality show from CBS? Saw some clips here: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/armed_and_famous/ It looks like exactly the kind of TV I love, random primo celebs thrown together to complete police academy in Indiana. Erik Estrada is on the show, which cracks me up, doesn't he have an unfair edge from pretending to be a cop for all those years? Anyone gonna watch this?

Got bombarded with commercials while watching TV at the in-laws over Xmas - looks like yet another "reality" show that isn't worth anyone's attention.
It'll probably get 20 million viewers.

Although having them join the police academy is an semi-interesting premise, the idea of throwing together random z-list celebrities has never gotten my attention. However, I'm glad for them to be able to get a paycheck in a fickle industry.

Here's that clip of Jack Osbourne I was talking about: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...95830254181971 Mostly they're shooting glocks but there's a small segment at the beginning of Jack behind an M4. Hope they give those to the rest of the cast too, I can't wait to see La Toya try her hand at a semi-automatic weapon.

'Officer' Estrada trades obscenities
MUNCIE, Ind. - Former "CHiPs" star Erik Estrada got into an expletive-laced shouting match with a man who called him Emilio Estevez amid the filming of a reality television series.
Estrada, who was sworn in as a reserve officer last month for CBS Corp.'s "Armed & Famous" show, was in an ambulance with Randall R. Sims, 53, when the exchange unfolded Wednesday night.

Hell, I'd *shoot* anyone who calls *me* Emilio Estevez.

OMG that is hysterical. I hope that they him arrest someone who actually recognizes him for who he is, though. I can just imagine some drugged out crazy screaming "No! You can't arrest me! You're not real! Ponch isn't real!"

I found this shocking video clip of the show Armed and Famous: http://www.tvsquad.com/2007/01/07/sh...ed-and-famous/
I hope that they got paid through the nose for this one. I mean, isn't there a risk of heart attack that comes with a taser? I guess it can't be too risky or the police wouldn't use it. I loved La Toya's dramatic fall. I also loved WeeMan's exhibition of his ridiculously high pain tolerance, probably trained by all those years on Jackass.
