I'm still holding out hope we might see a Metallo-like villian in Lex's army, although I would think if there was one, the writers would have already set it up. I mean Metallo would be one of the villians that would be easiest to bring to Smallville.

This was a truly awful, boring episode. And after checking out that trailer on YouTube, even that won't make up for it - not the trailer was that much better..

Also, anybody else noticed that Clark has been fairly "underpowered" in the last several episodes. I mean come on... they give him super breath a couple episodes into the season and he has not used it since. I also cannot remember the last time I've seen him use his heat vision. Aside from Speed and strength he's not using many powers lately...
P.S. - Lana is once again a dirty whore in this episode.

This was probably the second worst episode in my book. It doesn't even touch "Ageless" last season in terms of crappiness. The ending was sweet with Lex, but the heck was with Clark just using his powers right in front of some random illegal alien? I was like Whhaaa???

Now, I know that there are people on there that still think this show is good the majority of the time, and i'm not here to mock or dispute that.
I'm just curious what they thought of this episode. And if they didn't like it, perhaps this would help illustrate how some [most?] of us feel the majority of the time watching this show.

Well, I just finally downloaded it and watched. Yikes... that was a pretty poorly constructed episode. The whole thing seemed like it was written by someone with a 5th-grade level education (in regards to law enforcement, civics, immigration, etc.) Just awkward.
The last minute is worth sticking around for, but the rest... again, yikes.

You know being of Mexican heritage and having friends and family actually work in fields I can tell you this much, none of them had abercrombie clothes while picking in the fields...or for that matter Jared Padelecki's latest hair do
