I think you guys are reading way too much into things.

I still think voting out Jonathan wasn't a dumb move. His usefulness as a final two candidate is outweighed by the fact that everyone would hate you for taking him there and he may end up beating you because of it. Adam/Candace/Parvati were promising Yul their jury vote if he just votes out Jonathan before them.

As for Ozzy turning on Yul, why would he? The jury has far more voters for Adam/Parvati then they do Yul. It wouldn't make any sense.

Next week's vote will go Parvati or Adam followed by another Parvati or Adam and all this talk of a bad vote won't mean anything

Spoiler:

The one talking to the enemy has to be Ozzy.

The two tribemates talking about breaking the alliance are Becky and Yul talking about voting off Ozzy as we saw in the preview.

The "shrewd survivor" has to be Yul. He's the only one among the intellectual dim-bulbs left to be considered a "shrewd Survivor." Probably went to A-dumb and Horseteeth to vote Ozzy off, backfired.

I hope that you're joking. The way that I took the word chinks in that sentence is "chinks in the armor", not a derogatory remark referring to Chinese people. I could be wrong.

Err, no, it is chinks in the armor. The definition for chink is as follows:

A narrow opening, such as a crack or fissure.

Sure Yul would consider Jonathan a prime final two candidate but since everyone hates him, they may hate Yul for keeping Jonathan in the game. Plus, what if it backfires and Jonathan goes before final two now everyone thinks Yul sucks for keeping Jonathan around.

Voting Jonathan out leaves their numbers up at 4-2. No real danger unless Adam wins two immunities in a row and he hasn't exactly been doing great in challenges. Plus, what's the difference if they leave Jonathan in to final 5 and he wins immunity? It's not like he's incapable or THAT much better than Adam.

Yul is thought of as the ringleader by the former Raro. By ditching Jonathan, Yul gains favor from Adam and Pavarti on the jury as well as former Raro members.

There's no way this was a dumb move.
It's a dumb move in every way. The most glaring reason alone is that they could have taken out the strongest non-alliance player, and left a 4-1-1 breakdown, with one of the 1's being under your thumb and a dream final 2 opponent. Instead, they left it 4 against a rock-solid and challenge strong 2, with the 2 only needing to flip one of the 4 to force a tie. Idiotic beyond belief.

Why was Jonathan so horrible? I don't get it. Other than the burp, and his burp is less offensive to me than Nate's behind. He was brilliant in the food RC. Only one that got some real (i.e. non-dessert) food in him.

I predict Ozzy bands with the whiners. Ozzy gets immunity, and they vote Becky off.

I just can't believe Aitu fell for Adam and Parvarti's character assassination of Jonathan (Isn't it grand now that Jonathan isn't around camp? Aren't we having a lovely time?). This is the game of Survivor, you have to learn how to deal with unpleasant personalities without losing the numbers or letting strong players advance by targetting an annoying player in the game. I blame the women of Aitu for the turn, they wanted less mental stress around camp, and that meant Jonathan had to go, even though Adam's continued presence in the game means they are more apt to go home sooner than he will now.

The worst case scenario for Aitu is either Adam or Parvati win immunity 2 times in a row and that gets numbers down to even, and from there, it's anyone's game, and Aitu doesn't have the jury numbers.

Here's the unedited for TV version of Yul's "I feel like I'm kind of like the godfather or something, arranging a hit on somebody" speech. Right or wrong, I thought it was pretty enlightening, and it explained his reasons for getting rid of Jonathan.

"Today's immunity challenge went down well. The main goal today was to make sure that Jonathan didn't get immunity. Ozzy got the immunity, so our plans are still in motion.

After the challenge, Parvati and I had a conversation following a conversation I had with Adam. Basically, Adam and Parvati have been making a request to me. At this point in the game, they're more or less resigned to the fact that they're going to be voted out. But they just have a lot of animosty towards Jonathan, and as a matter of fairness and equity, they don't want him staying in the game longer than they do. So they've made a request to me a few days ago to have him voted off before they do. I've been mulling it over and I've decided to honor that request. I didn't ask for any promises in return, but they both asssured me that they really appreciate the gesture and if i get in the final two, they'd vote for me as members of the jury.

Honestly I do feel bad about voting Jonathan. I mean its a matter of timing, right, because I don't really plan on going to final 2 with him, so its a question of: so do I vote him out sooner rather than later? I do have a bond with him, I respect him and I actually like him, in contrast to pretty much everyone else in this game.

But you know, he's going to go at some point. It just seems to makes sense to send him home tonight. There's been a pretty good opportunity. My biggest concern is that if I send him home too early he'll be upset that we broke our agreement and he won't vote for me on the jury.

But I think I set it up such that he would be understanding if he got voted home tonight, given the fact that he's been on Exile and given the fact that he caused kind of a brouhaha a couple nights ago when he decided... Well, it was a collective decision, but something that he drove, not to share the fish that he had caught with Adam and Parvati.

So I basically told him that that caused a fair amount of ill will towards him and I'm going to be kind of building that tonight, so that when he gets voted off tonight, he'll blame himself as opposed to blaming me.

I don't feel bad about breaking our agreement, though. The truth of the matter is, I wouldn't have had to make that agreement in the first place if he'd never jumped ship on us. He put the Aitutaki tribe in a BAD situation when he mutinied, and he broke our agreement THEN, he broke our alliance. So I don't feel bad about misleading him, as a result of the fact that he put me in a position where I had no other choice, so from an ethical standpoint that doesn't bother me. But I do feel bad, I like him and I wish he could have gone farther in the game, but at this point it just seems to make sense to let him go today.

My plan is to let Jonathan feel like he's dug his own grave, which to a large extent he has. He hasn't built the personal relationships that he needs to build. For whatever reason he has never been able to shake off the perception that he's very deceptive and conniving, you know.

And for me the surest thing for me would be to go to final 2 with him, because I'd pretty much be guaranteed a win on the jury. But I don't know, I plan to go to the final four with the Aitutaki four, so that was never something I seriously considered. Although it was the only argument that he would actually buy in order to come over to our alliance. So I think things are set right now.

I've grown to like Adam and Parvati quite a bit. Initially I thought... I didn't think much of them, and that was largely based on what Jonathan had told us... But I've gotten to know them over the last few days, especially seeing their families you get to know them as people, and I genuinely like both people. They seem like good-hearted people who outside the context of this game I would become friends with. And if we'd been on the same tribe, I'm sure I would have liked them as well. So yeah, I'm happy to continue on in one tribe with them as a group for now.

It's a little bit weird for me, cause I feel like I'm in a weird... I feel like I'm kind of like the godfather or something, arranging a hit on somebody, and someone's asking me to take out one person or another. And I never really imagined myself in that role. It's sort of what it feels like and I don’t know if I’m entirely comfortable with it. But, this feels right to me, these are good people who play a straight up game. For me, it lightens my conscience to some extent and also if I do go to the final 2 with anyone other than Jonathan, it always helps to have their favor, and at this point, it’s a numbers game. They all have to go at some point.

It's nothing personal, I like all of them. But our original intention had been to go to the final four with the Aitutaki four and we're going to stick to that."

I must admit, I was so pulling for Yul and company, but after this week I really don't think I care who wins again. I didn't like Johnathan, but respect the guy for working hard, and actually thinking about what he's doing.

It pains me when people that do nothing, and just generally coast by making silly faces, and thinking they're so smart stay on this game like Adam. I dont' get all the faces, or the credit he was feeling for getting rid of Johnathan. He didn't mastermind some change, for whatever reason Yul and them too found him annoying and knew they had numbers either way so cut him loose.

Looking at next week's ad, it really looks like Ozzy and Yul go their seperate ways, in which case I don't really care who does win. I hoped for for Ozzy or Yul, but if they're dumb enough to let the game get out of control, then who cares, just put another undeserving player as champion, it's happened more then once, and can see it again if these guys don't hold together next week and get rid of teeth or adam.

Although I hope that both Ozzy and Yul are in the final 3, I don't think either one of them really wants the other along in the final 3. Both are too tough. I would especially think Yul wants to get Ozzy out before the final 3 because Ozzy seems to be the best at just about any physical challenge. He's already proven himself in an endurance challenge, which the final one usually is.

I can't believe they made this stupid move. Adam and Pavarti would have voted them out one by one with no problem. Why not do the same to them?
