I think it sucks that pretty much none of Lost's audience decided to give this show a fair shot. But, who could blame ABC for this, at the rate things were going, the series finale would have probably only had 500,000 viewers.

I always think it's funny when I hear people say "they paid for it, they might as well air it."
Networks are all about keeping you hooked for the entire evening. The common belief among execs is that if a show stinks up its timeslot, it's going the hurt the shows that follow. Or make you less likely to tune in to the show that comes before and sit back and watch that channel all night. A badly rated show can torpedo a whole night for a network.

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC is shuffling its deck chairs once again, pulling both Wednesday newcomers "Show Me the Money" and "Day Break" from its schedule effective immediately.
In addition, production has been halted on "Money's" back-six order (read the story). In total, just five of the show's seven completed installments have aired.
Both "Money" and "Break" hit series lows this past Wednesday among adults 18-49 (a 1.7 rating for the former and a 1.4 rating for the latter), making the news not much of a surprise. "Break" had previously been set to run through December 27 before going on hiatus.
The network is expected to stream the seven remaining episodes of "Break" on ABC.com.
The news marks the Alphabet's first official cancellations of the 2006-07 season. Still sitting on the shelf, but technically alive are "Extreme Makeover" (three episodes yet to air), "Help Me Help You" (four), "The Nine" (six) and "Six Degrees" (seven).
As for their replacements, repeats of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (which currently air on Fridays at 8:00/7:00c) will shift to Tuesdays at 8:00/7:00c starting on January 2 while various repeats of "The George Lopez Show" and "According to Jim" will fill the network's Wednesday schedule on December 20 and December 27.
To review, here's a breakdown of the affected nights:

What's this TV One that they are mentioning? I would like to see all of these episodes. I've been doing that with Kidnapped & Threshold on UniversalHD and it's been a good ride.

DAY BREAK (ABC) - TV One has quietly acquired the off-network rights to the Alphabet's short-lived drama. All 13 episodes, seven of which were never broadcast, will premiere on Sundays at 10:00/9:00c starting March 16. No financial details were released about the deal.

I downloaded all the remaining episodes off the 'net about a year ago... Definitely watch the unaired episodes. You will get an excellent conclusion, every last question is answered... Well, one thing is left up in the air, but it doesn't really matter. Some of the greatest 13 episodes I've ever watched.

I'm blanking on the guy's name since it's been a whole year since I watched the show, but the man you're talking about at the end of the series is the guy Hopper ran into who was saying that he, too, was having a situation where his day was repeating for unknown reasons. I think he was also the guy who was seen in prison, screaming while Hopper had a short stint there.
I think at one point, Hopper dropped him off at a shrink's house. I'm sure someone else can explain it much better, or maybe there's more info on Wikipedia.

Ah... gotcha. I know who you're talking about now. I guess he's supposed to be the man behind the curtain or something. Overall it was a very enjoyable series. I was a little worried just how long they could pull the "Run Lola Run" thing off, but I think it worked out rather well.
