at this point, I think Jonathan has a chance at winning against anyone but Yul or Ozzy in the final. his playing of the game would be rewarded over those who were carried along.

I hate that those assholes voted off Candice. This show needs hot girls to watch.

I thought that when Poverty asked Yul to show her his idol she should have just kept it. Because the rules the rules say that you can give the idol to some one else. When Yul says HEY GIVE IT BACK, she can just say HEY YOU GAVE IT TO ME. And he would be SOL

That would make Yul's disclosure of his HII a great strategic move. If everybody believes that he has the HII, that is even better than actually having it. No one will vote against him and the false HII will not be played and proved not real. Also no one else will bother searching for the real HII on exile island.

Yul is brilliant.

Usually, when push comes to shove, jurors tend to reward that kind of play instead of holding a grudge. However, with the 4 children, I have a hard time seeing them rewarding Jonathan over one of the girls who didn't ruffle their feathers. Of course, the jury is bigger this season, so Jonathan would have that going for him.

I think there was a note with the idol when he found it that confirmed it was real.

By using the fact that he has the hidden immunity idol to get Jonathan to swing over to his side, Yul basically gets double use of the idol.

What, did she think that Yul whipped up a compass on a lanyard with some old fish bones and coconut husks?

And add me to the list of folks surprised by Adam's idiot savant turn at the challenge.

He probably had the answers wrong, then added them wrong and got the correct answer by dumb luck.

I was not clear what happened when they got the wrong answer. Could they not open another number without showing their work on the chalkboard?

Glad to see Yul not caving in to the whiny 3. If he's really worried about it, he could vote Jonathan out next and the remaining two would probably be shallow enough not to hold a grudge against Candice getting voted out.

Then again, maybe he shouldn't care. They're only three out of an expanded jury pool (though maybe there's a twist in that as well).

Ozzy has dropped in prominence, at least since he won the pole immunity, but this episode didn't have the hyper-physical challenges. Surprised Yul didn't get much notice in the competition, but I guess Adumb was too smart for him.

What was up with Parvati wearing her bikini in the bathtub?

I was wondering that myself - why not just throw any numbers in and just starting opening the boxes. I suppose maybe the time involved in unraveling the wrappings was to dissuade doing that.

How many are in the jury? 11?

Perhaps the twist is that the final is 3 people rather than 2, perhaps with a run-off option if nobody gets a majority on the first vote.

There will be a 10 person jury assuming a 2 person final. A 3 person final and a 9 person jury could still end with a tie. I think someone will not get to vote or have their vote not counted based on a challenge between the final two.

There were at least 9 boxes per person, maybe more. With the outer knot, inner knot, and then unravelling the fabric, trial and error would take forever.

I agree that normally Jonathin would get votes on the jury, but since this season is not populated with fans of the show, I doubt it

The boxes were numbered and unless you could prove your math to be correct to getting that number (even if it was the wrong box), they prolly wouldn't let you open a box that didn't have a corresponding solution.

So to open Box 10, your math had to add/subtract/divide the number 10.

I didn't think they made that clear, but that's the logical choice.

Oh, by the way, Candice.

I don't think the others will let Yul take Jonathan with him to final 2, becky sundra and ozzy will want him gone so they are final 4. Plus they will need to make him give up the idol before then to force his hand a bit. I see adam gone next, and then Jonathan.
But logically if it does come down to final 4, it will be Becky and Yul versuses the other two. They have to turn on each other at some point. If Ozzy and Sundra have any game, they would get Jonathon or whoever is the fifth vote when there are five and vote off Becky. Then they would have to vote off Yul at some point because no one is going to win against him I think head to head. The four are very tight but they will have to turn on each other at some point.

Edit: unless they want to do something honorable like force a tie and have two of them compete with the making fire tie-breaker.

So with Yul's profile raising to becoming the front runner, I pick Becky to win. She's a tough little broad, and usually does well in the challenges, but is low key enough to not be so visible in the game tactics. She just backs Yul, but doesn't have to actually do the scheming.

I don't get why people pussyfoot around at those survivor auctions. If you see an item that is food for sure, you buy it. I was amazed that Jonathan was able to get so much food, while some people didn't win (or even seriously bid) on anything.

I'm gonna miss Candice being sent to exile island.

This was one of the best Survivor episodes EVER (I've seen 2.5 seasons and other eps here and there... saw most of the one where the used car dealer won and all but one or two of the Terry-was-robbed season ). I'm going for Ozzy and Yul in that order. I think people are realizing how Yul is manupulating everybody. Becky was glaring at him when he was talking about the votes he wants in the final.

Jonathan was BRILLIANT, and other than the chocolate cake and the ice cream the only one that got any real food. That was hilarious. Didn't he get ALL the food items? And he tells Jeff keep the change and that's the last item for bid. Just brilliant. Now the burp... that was disgusting.

I hope this is the order of people voted out:

Adam
Parvati
Becky
Sundra

And then it'd get very interesting

Two things....

EVERY member of the Raro 4 gets the tough guy/girl award beacuse of the gritty, gutsy performances in the 4 challanges they were alone

Sundra, and Becky are nuts (Ozzy wasnt even around) for trying to move Yul against Jonathin...like someone said before, they NEED him as insulation against Yul/Becky final 2

ALSO, they CANT vote Jonathin out before the other two crybabies, because he's insulation against Adam winning 2 immunities in a row...if John goes and Adam wins...Parvati goes, if Adam wins again they have to Cannabalize early...but if they have to Cannabalize with Jonathin still in the game, they dont have a tough choice.

Yul cant move on Ozzie or Sundra to go to an easy win final 2 with Jonathin unless its VERY late in the game.

BTW, the three crybabies sealed thier own fate with YUL...when they pulled thier WE WONT VOTE FOR YOU UNLESS JONATHIN IS GONE bitchfest it just convinced Yul that the ONLY way he can insulate himself from thier childish final tribal council voting is if he's sitting next to John.

BTW, how bad is John wishing he never stepped off that matt after Candice?

.
That cracked me up too, especially last night when Jonathan got into his "sprinter stance", as if he was running a 50 yard dash, and he ends up running a whole 3 feet. They should have just had them start at the puzzle boards to begin with.

How many did we know in advance were food? The chocolate cake and the ice cream machine are the only ones I remember.

I'm still confused about the money thing. Can they keep any money they don't barter with? What other rationale would there be to hold on to it?

I've seen a few Survivor shows the past couple of seasons that made me think I was tiring of the whole thing, but the past two episodes were fantastic.

They don't know when the auction is ending, so maybe they thought something better was coming up.

Which makes me think these people have never watched the show before, because the auctions never go that long. I liked the "no sharing" rule.
