House - 11/28/2006 - Finding Judas

Synopsis:
Spoiler:
House takes the case of a young girl who has been diagnosed with pancreatitis. When he takes her divorced parents to court to force them to allow treatment because they can't agree, the judge awards guardianship of the girl to Cuddy. Meanwhile, Tritter continues his strategy to force House to admit to his drug use by offering one of the team members a deal.

Pretty good episode, was nice to see House just completely
Spoiler:
fuck up
.

Dydion 11-28-06 09:32 PM

It was a good episode...but I'm ready for Tritter to leave.

Timber 11-28-06 09:36 PM

Yeah, I'm not feeling Tritter at all. I do enjoy over the edge House though.

Patman 11-28-06 09:56 PM

House really has a problem.

Bless you, snowmaker!

I am hoping with the previews for next week, house gets over this "out of control" storyline, because a couple more weeks and I will be done.

argh923 11-28-06 10:41 PM

Why isn't House on next week?

MrX 11-28-06 10:51 PM

Pretty good episode

Liked the "Nobody get lupus" comment since they usually wind up testing for it in about half the episodes.

Genius ending line by Wilson.

Despite the presence of Tritter, this was an excellent ep. It was good to see Cuddy get some screen-time.

I guess that makes me stupid. Can you please explain what it means?

Matthew 26:15

the sad thing about the cop story line is that it's practically a guarantee that he'll end up being treated by house. so as along as the preview doesn't show the cop as the patient, that means we have at least one more episode with him

It was what Judas received for betraying Jesus

mndtrp 11-29-06 01:19 AM

I was pretty suprised when House became so mean to Cuddy, so it was nice that it was acknowledged later in the show. I was also happy that I finally got to see the punch that has been previewed for over a month now.

In Two Weeks:

Spoiler:
Denny Crane's Midget will be making a guest appearance, and I just hope they pull one of those pan down jokes

Or maybe a family member of his. Which might not even be revealed till the end of a future episode.

First half of the episode was weak.

The second half was very good.

Now that Wilson the Predator sees a way in. Expect more Cuddy + Wilson. Their scene together was great.

Didnt Cuddy already reject Wilson as a potential donor?

yeah, when I dreamed of seeing cuddy in a shower, that wasn't what I pictured.

I didn't get the ending line until I saw that verse, which makes sense given the episode title.

There's always gotta be an overlying conflict... S1- the dude who gave the money and wanted to run the hospital, S2- house's exwife/gf, can't remember her name, S3-Tritter. IMO, it's an attempt to keep the episodes from following the same plot line every single episode and lose ratings. I liked the conflict in S1, not so much in S2, and even less this season. Maybe in S4 the strung out conflict will be Cameron decided to pose for playboy, and they have to deal with all the publicity the hospital is getting and caring about patients with naked pictures of cameron floating around the hospital. yeah, maybe not.

Patman 11-29-06 10:08 AM

How many heathens do we have watching "House" that don't know about the 30 pieces of silver? I'm shocked! :)

Of course, the problem with that is these subplots are usually annoying and interfere with the dynamic of the show, which runs the risk of alienating some viewers, which could also lead to lost ratings.

True... I think they decided to take that risk over the risk people getting bored faster over the 'see person, see person get sick, see differential diagnosis, testing, patient gets worse, testing/diagnosis, patient gets more worse, figured it out!, patients more worse, then epiphany as patient is about to die, and cured' routine that outlines most shows.

Ah, sela ward, that's that chick's name. I knew I'd remember w/o looking it up. My memory is going in my old age....
