I almost feel sorry for Dwight, being Jim's subordinate and now beaten at his own game by Andy. That job is all Dwight has... aside from the beet farm... and laser tag.
|
Also, I LOVED Andy hitting on Angela, and Dwight's nervous reaction.
His world is falling apart! |
My wife was dying laughing when Michael was trying to help the fat guy onto the table and said something about being under a hock and then in his crack.
|
I love the scene of the woman breastfeeding and then the camera panned to the left, revealing Creed sitting there with a shit-eating grin on his face.
Then when he showed the screen saver and said he was in the right place at the right time. I had to pause the Tivo for like 5 minutes I was laughing so hard. |
Staples shredder = subtle product placement rotfl
Overall, I thought this episode was just so-so... expected more funny, and some of it seemed kind of forced (Lazy Sunday, some of the Dwight/Andy stuff). I did laugh at Scranton Witch Project, though. I will say I am warming more to the Karen/Jim/Pam storyline. It looks like that might go in some interesting directions, and the way it played out tonight did have a genuineness to it. All three characters and their interrelationships are being developed in a realistic and sympathetic way, so I look forward to seeing where the writers take that. And I'm still rooting for Pam, but Karen is growing on me... |
for some reason my tivo didnt record this episode! came home to watch it and no Office, It recorded my name is earl but no office :(
|
I wouldn't worry too much about Dwight. Jim is going to totally side with him until the Andy threat is vanquished.

All those people who bitched about the second office dynamic for most of the season are eating thier words with the Dwight/Andy/Michael dynamic...plus with them providing the comedy, Jim can do other things, which finally gives us a clean break from the UK version
|
This episode was a complete success. Creed, Dwight vs Andy, Lazy Scranton, and much more. I'm curious if any of the newbies will last full time.
|
I've been in the Karen camp for weeks and tonight's merger confirmed. Pam is getting what she deserves.
My wife died when she saw the newb breast-feeding w/ Creed sitting next to her. |
Man, Jim was a little cold to Pam. Wasn't the reunion Pam (or myself) was expecting.
Some pretty solid laughs this episode. Creed, whom I usually don't like, was cracking me up. Ryan: "I'm sorry, it's just a little distracting." Creed: "That it is my friend, that it is." I loved the hand shake between Dwight and Andy. Neither one was going to release first. the handshake between Toby and Jim was almost as funny. Poor Toby, just can't be cool. |
Episode was genius. Pure genius! So much in this episode you gotta watch it twice.
|
I loved the exchange between Stanley and the new black guy. That was classic Stanley.
Plus the whole Tobey and Jim pound/handshake greeting along with Karen's exchange with Phyllis about her "perfume" was great. I can't wait to see more of the new workplace dynamics at Scranton. |
My guess is that Andy is toast eventually (though bonus points if they can give his character an arc that makes him a fixture). I think Karen may be a keeper. The rest of them are background players who could really go either way. I could definitely see us lose Oscar, Meredith or Phyllis, and eventually Stanley or Creed with the background Stamford people filling their background player roles.

I loved the part when Dwight and Jim first talked and Jim was looking at his forehead. "Come on, I'll show you where the slaves work" Also loved when Kelly "caught up" with Jim. |
Michael's comment to the new black guy about the rest of the slaves was gold:lol:
I loved the Dwight and Andy scenes. |
some great moments already mentioned
not yet mentioned Jim: so what's new with you Kelly: I just told you |

"I like to think a step ahead. Like a... carpenter. That's making stairs."
Best episode of the season for me. Now that everyone is together and finally playing off each other, it's been worth putting up with the 2-office scenario. |
Hilarious episode. It set up so many good situations for the rest of the season. Love all the callbacks to previous episodes (Michael and his bacon, etc.)
My favorite part is probably the Stanley scene that was previously mentioned, just great. Just like a lot of the actors on the show, I wonder how close to Stanley the actor who plays him actually is - I saw him at Jerry's in Studio City about 9 months back and he gave the waiter one of those classic Stanley looks. And thanks a lot for posting the Loveline link Brent. Used to listen to that show all the time, but haven't heard it with any regularity since Adam left. The last episode I listened to all the way through was probably the one with Rainn Wilson and BJ Novak. http://www.lovelinearchive.com/shows...%20Office).mp3 |
I will be sorely disappointed if Andy does not stick around permanently.

At this point we barely even know the Stamford people's names (and only that because of Michael's gift baskets), and there's no way that those guys could just replace Stanley or Creed. You think there's just some kind of farm out there where Stanleys and Phyllises grow on trees, ripe for the picking? Show me that farm.
