I just watched last weeks episode last night, which was good, btw and the ending was true Smallville. They show the shield and Clark telling Martha he is going to start training(YES! Story advancement!)... pause... after he takes care of all the "Zoners." Boo. One step forward and two steps back.

Yep, as soon as Lana fainted at the Daily Planet, I knew what was up with her.
The overall episode wasn't all that good, a little to didactic, with both Clark and Oliver revealing more about their inner compasses.
Now, the last 5 minutes of the contrast between the warm glow of friendship that overwhelmed the Kent household, and the cold, sterile divide between Lex and Lana was almost too much to take in. Nice toast by Clark.

Damn, how many times has Lex been shot? Like all the times Giles was knocked out in Buffy.

Why do I find it weird that Lionel is sharing turkey with the Kents and Chloe?

I liked the episode. I like how the showing is getting darker in tone.
Enjoyed the scenes with Martha and Lionel.

So far, I'm throughly enjoying the current season, and hope they can maintain the same quality for the rest of the year.
Anyone know if Green Arrow is going to be a continuing participant - I think a lot of the season's success so far is because of him. (Interesting character, and good interplay with Clark)

Lana being pregnant was an odd twist away from the comic continuity, so it'll be interesting to see how that transpires. Lex with a kid? Hmm!
I was so damn glad that the doctor's magic potion didn't contain kryptonite!
Liking Green Arrow as a continuing character - With his thing about secret identities, will he be key in Clark finally getting around to wearing glasses?

It's a shame Clark didn't get Lana preggers. That way, when the baby kicks, most of us here will get our wish..

Was Erica's appearance on Howard mentioned before? I don't read these Smallville threads as often as I used to..

I thought it was a pretty good episode. Although, Martha 'falling' for Lionel is just horribly out of character and just completely stupid. Also, Lana being pregnant...well, if it means Lana dies in childbirth, ala 'Lexmas', and Lex turns into a true evil bastard, then, well, I might forgive it.
I was glad to see the writers backed away from the drug being 'kryptonite' based.

I could buy it - IF it wasn't less than a year after Jonathan's death.
That's exactly my line of thought with Lana.

When I first saw the commercial for this ep. it reminded me of the old Green Lantern/Green Arrow comic in which Speedy was shooting up heroin. I'm kind of
glad they didn't go that route w/ Oliver.

What's funny is that compound Ollie was taking reminded me of the story "Batman: Venom".
All in all, I liked the ep, loved Ollie, and hope Lana dies during child birth (if not mercifully sooner).

Lana pregnant huh? I was thinking cancer or something but oh well, either way, her death is coming soon. I sense it.
I liked this ep quite a bit. Good story advancement. Look forward to next week's Batista ep.

I think there will be some sort of tragic event with Lana that will finally push Lex over to the dark side either later this season or next season.
