I think they tried to play it off with her line about "doesn't even follow her husband's career", though. I think the implication was that even if something came on the news regarding the fugitives, she'd be likely to actively try and ignore it, since it would have reminded her of her ex.

In a show where characters make the most absurd leaps in logic to keep up with the plot, they have her accidentally drop the papers in a way to reveal "hotel" instead of just figuring out the obvious on her own. Between this and calling government agents to tell them where she is while the bodies keep dropping, she may be a great candidate for a "this is your brain on drugs" ad.
