A Las Vegas high-roller offers Hiro and his friend a deal they cannot refuse; Claire meets with her biological parents; Isaac receives another confusing phone call.

So, we know Nathan wins the election on 11/7 and the bomb hits 11/8. With the next episode coming on 11/6, are we to think that we're seeing this psuedo-realtime? At least inasmuch as that show and our time synch up.

Can't wait for tonight, but they better get that storyline moving with a quickness so we aren't seeing a November election in May.

I'm still of the mind that the reason for this is that Peter will need her invulnerability when he assimilates the powers of the other heroes in fighting Sylar.

Masi Oka, who plays Hiro, actually worked at ILM (and still does some work for them from time to time, he said it makes him remember all of the hard-working people on the other side of the camera, and keeps him grounded).

agreed. Hiro is the man. Why doesn't Hiro stop time and carry his buddy outta there with him?

Ahhh, so Eden's role is finally revealed. At least she wasn't an 'evil lady', so they get a little credit there.

When Eden called Claire's dad and said "..save the cheerleader" his pupils totally dilated. I am sitting really close to the tv, I guess. lol

So is Larter really a villian then?

pretty sweet episode. hiro is starting to get more and more exciting as the weeks move on. seems like claire has figured out the role of her step-father.

disappointing ep.

the Hiro stuff was gold (as usual), but Ali's stuff made the show draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag. if you're going to focus on her that much, at least think of a reason for her to lose some clothing..

next week's looks very promising..

less is more. parts of her story line did drag some though.

Off topic of the plot, did anyone else have trouble with their HD broadcast of this? Mine had music, but no voice audio. Commercials worked, but not the actual show. This happened both over the air and with cable.

Given Masi(Hiro)'s ILM background, Hiro's lightsabering in the car after he finds out his future self has a sword was hilarious. Hiro and Ando are quite a duo.

The Niki subplot did occupy a little too much time, but at least we finally got to see Dark Niki in action, as well as DL's power as well.

Claire's subplot was also purposefully uncomfortable and unconvincing, but her stepdad seems to be pulling a lot strings, including siccing Eden on Mohinder and then Isaac.

thought it was a decent episode. i didn't think the niki story dragged on but find her character and relationship with dl so confusing.

so those weren't really Claire's Bio-Parents? It seemed like her dad hired them or something.

The bio-parents are part of whatever the step-dad is involved in. They were just playing a part to get Claire's curiosity satiated.

Right. The step-dad reads more and more to me like whatever fed is responsible for figuring out what is going on and keeping a lid on it. Those two were quite likely other feds. While the show bills him as evil, I think that's a red herring for now. I think it's more likely that his abductions and bringing people in is going to be annoying but isn't the cause of New York blowing up.

Anyone? This episode ran long. DVR users who didn't pad or record FNL missed everything after Isaac opened the door and saw Eden near the end.

Yeah, mine cut off and I missed the end and the preview.

wish I could say but now the ending's kind of fuzzy. I think it ended with niki still on the floor.

It does end with Niki knocked out cold and on the floor with a swirling camera on her. Mohinder says some concluding words on evolution leading up to the choice to survive or perish.

Too much focus on Nikki tonight.

Not enough Hiro.

Can anyone explain the time jump Nikki went through when she found he backpack? I couldn't quite follow what happened. All of a sudden her son had the backpack.

I think she pretty much just loses time when her Dark side takes over. That's what seemed to happen. She was there, she dazed, he had the pack.

so is the overrun going to become the norm again? I can't add any extra time to Heroes on my tivo so I hope not.

wonder if claire's dad has any powers of his own. maybe the ability to sense and locate other mutan... ahem... I mean special people.

If he could locate them, I don't think that phone conversation with our strangely skeptical narrator's BFF would have gone the way it did.

I thought it was rather boring compared to the previous 2.

The Hiro parts were good, the rest dragged.

Though really its just speculation its better to be safe than sorry.
