the Nikki story did drag. Kinda boring, actually.

The bio-parents are part of whatever the step-dad is involved in. They were just playing a part to get Claire's curiosity satiated.

Right. The step-dad reads more and more to me like whatever fed is responsible for figuring out what is going on and keeping a lid on it. Those two were quite likely other feds. While the show bills him as evil, I think that's a red herring for now. I think it's more likely that his abductions and bringing people in is going to be annoying but isn't the cause of New York blowing up.

Anyone? This episode ran long. DVR users who didn't pad or record FNL missed everything after Isaac opened the door and saw Eden near the end.

Yeah, mine cut off and I missed the end and the preview.

wish I could say but now the ending's kind of fuzzy. I think it ended with niki still on the floor.

It does end with Niki knocked out cold and on the floor with a swirling camera on her. Mohinder says some concluding words on evolution leading up to the choice to survive or perish.

Too much focus on Nikki tonight.

Can anyone explain the time jump Nikki went through when she found he backpack? I couldn't quite follow what happened. All of a sudden her son had the backpack.

I think she pretty much just loses time when her Dark side takes over. That's what seemed to happen. She was there, she dazed, he had the pack.

so is the overrun going to become the norm again? I can't add any extra time to Heroes on my tivo so I hope not.

wonder if claire's dad has any powers of his own. maybe the ability to sense and locate other mutan... ahem... I mean special people.

If he could locate them, I don't think that phone conversation with our strangely skeptical narrator's BFF would have gone the way it did.

I thought it was rather boring compared to the previous 2.

The Hiro parts were good, the rest dragged.

I agree with the above posters, the Niki thing dragged on. and I am glad we didn't focus on the flying brothers thing, the weakest part of the show IMO.

Overall great episode.

I think I read in EW that as the season progresses, we will see more of these "focused" episodes like the one tonight. Where one story/character will be the major portion of the show.

He could have just been referring to Eden's feminine wiles, but the way Cheerdad said "We both know you can try harder" (to stop narratorboy from leaving) made me wonder if she had some kind of power, beyond her super-cuteness.

Shouldn't DL in theory be impervious to physical harm? I mean if someone is chocking him he could just phase out, move and they are holding a fistful of air. Same thing if some one tries to hit him, assuming he sees it coming.

Mohinder's idiocy is driving me crazy! It was so damn_obvious from the beginning that she was the true surveillance device!

I missed last night's episode. I thought I could go on NBC's site and watch it but when I try, it says video not found and then it kind of slows up my system until I close the browser, at which time I get and error saying that the program is not responding. Bad mojo!
It seems to happen with any show I try to look at - just the full episodes, not the minute-long recaps.
Anyone know what's up? Kind of a bummer when they advertise something that doesn't work. (ABC's video works.)

This episode was a tad slower overall but it is setting things up
