The second island thing doesn't seem to be that much of a problem. Rousseau, simply by being introduced in the first season, does not need to have told them all the secrets she knew. It wouldn't even fit her character if she did.

Here's something I cooked up:

I was thinking this myself as well.

My wife tapped out as soon as Ben killed the rabbit. She was pissed! Later on, I showed her the reveal...the rabbit is okay! She might be back next week.

We have a pet rabbit that looks like the one Ben "killed" (ironically named Freckles), and my daughter was not happy - at least until the theoretical reveal.

Loved some of Sawyer's nicknames this time like Chinatown and Costanza. Gold, Jerry, GOLD!

I've been thinking about the x-ray of the spine on the board in the surgery room. Since the tumor appears to be on the L4 vertebrae (the lumbar region), I'm thinking that what if the x-ray does not belong to
Spoiler:
Ben
as the preview suggests, but to Locke? It would certainly explain why he cannot walk off the island, but can on the island (like Rose and her cancer).

boogieman03 10-26-06 09:06 AM

So if it's 2 islands, how did the polar bears get to the Losties island?

I also like the speculation that the xray belongs to Locke, although I was wondering when they had time to xray him. I guess they got it from the real world.

I'm off to see about making some kate screen caps.

SuperBatMan 10-26-06 09:20 AM

I highly doubt that the tumor belongs to Ben, as the previews are always pretty deceitful. I'm not quite sure it's Locke's either. Where would they have got the X-rays of him?

And, yes, Tom did mention a sub. I had CC on and he said it. Also mentioned it had been two days since the sky went purple and they hadn't got something to work since then.

I questioned the same thing on another board, but was told that polar bears can swim.

Polar bears are actually considered aquatic mammals.

Thanks for the link. I thought they could swim, but I didn't think they could go for long distances. Up to 62 miles, that's pretty impressive.

Jimmy James 10-26-06 09:42 AM

I think I mentioned this before, but it may also be that they really needed the cages, sedated the bears, and moved them. That may be a good reason why they'd write "quarantine" on the inside of the hatch, too.

The same place they got Sarah's whole medical file.

Lots of speculation, seems that we still enjoy discussing this show even when it is frustrating. I am totally enjoying the start of this season as to last years start. I just wonder when we will begin to understand the agenda the OTHERS have. Why these three and just what do they want. I am really content with the way the plot is being developed and find Lost one of the few highlights of my tv viewing each week.

Great episode, eagerly awaiting the next two before hiatus.

How come this 2x Alcatraz Island cannot be seen from the Main island for all these years? (Desmond/Rousseu et al)

Why do people believe that nobody has seen the island?

when they panned out on the other's village in the season opener, that island looked a lot bigger than twice the size of alcatraz.

Exactly. There's been no reason for Desmond or Rousseau to bring up the island. "The Others are coming to kill you!!! By the way, allow me to tell you about this smaller island I once saw..."

"ABC has confirmed that "Lost" will go on mid-season hiatus after its third season's sixth episode on November 8th and return February 7th reports TV.Com.

The early and longer than usual hiatus is so that the show's return on February 7th will allow the serial drama to air uninterrupted and without repeats from February 7th right through to season finale time in late May - sixteen 'repeat free' episodes in all.

In its place during the hiatus will be the new Taye Diggs drama "Day Break" starting November 15th."

Anyone ever been to Hawaii? Theres tiny islands EVERYWHERE

Jimmy James 10-26-06 10:42 AM

Speaking of the Day Break drama, I was a bit confused because the ads for it seemed way too similar to the ads for the Denzel Washington/Tony Scott film Deja Vu that were also running during LOST. Does anybody think that Disney did that on purpose? The film and the TV show are both their productions.

Maxflier 10-26-06 10:43 AM

February 7th.....

Maybe i am missing something, but what does Hawaii have to do with anything?
I realize the show is shot there, but it's not like that is where they are on the show itself.
