with Shield,Rome, Sopranos and Deadwood all ending , what do we have left to watch? 24(last legs), American Idol, Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who and HEROES? is there anything I am missing?

There has been rumors that when the show ends they might try a spin-off with one of the more popular characters going to a different police division. I'll let you guess who the character is. It has been heavily pushed by the character to leave the barn to work with others throughout the past few seasons anyway.

I'd also vote that the Shield and most of the animated DC universe has been close to perfection.

I'd say The Wire, which is the best of them all, but there's only 10 or so episodes left to air sometime in early '08 I believe.

Yeah, this mini-age of golden tv shows seems to be coming to a close. There is still good stuff, but the shows mentioned were really some higher level. BSG might be ending after its next season as well, and the doctor is probably going to leave Who in a season in a half. Just to rain on the parade a bit more.

Lem is not alive - if there's any footage of him (like in the prequel), it's from flashbacks.

It was only a limited 4-5 week thing or something like that. It is on the season 5 set though. I have a feeling it might be the opening to Tuesday's episode.

Can't believe The Shield is finally back on this week! It has felt like years since we got a new episode!

I remember reading somewhere that Tuesday's episode actually picks up where the promosode leaves off. I read this a little while back, so I may be wrong.

Only one more day!!!! Cannot freaking wait. www.fxnetwork.com has a couple clips to get you even more pumped. One of them has a SWEET line from Vic to Kavanaugh:

Spoiler:
Vic: "You think I’m a cop killer?? Maybe I am…. You’re a cop right??”
