Well, I went in expecting to laugh. And I did. Twice. Once at the "I'm a Jedi!" bit and again when the one gal mentioned her sister peeing in her eye. Everything else just wasn't ... funny. And as much as I love Tracy Morgan, a thug Tracy Morgan is not very appealing, or funny.
"This honkey gramma is wack!"
*Audience explodes into laughter*
Huge letdown. I'll give it a few more episodes before I bail, just in case, but damn ...

I'll tune in next week to see where this show goes...

I thought 30 Rock was great from beginning to end. Very funny premiere and if the second episode is as good as previously reported, this show could take off. It seems like it would be a much better pairing with the office than Earl.
I thought 20 Good Years was going to be an Arrested Development spin-off, so I didn't watch it j/k I turned to 20 Good Years a couple times during Jericho breaks and thought what I saw was horrible.

I didn't have very high expectations for this, but I dug it and will catch it again. Loved Tracy Morgan especiall the Jedi Line, the way he ordered "10 Beers", and "...then I'll have a Vodka & Tonic." And of course Alec Baldwin... always money.
And I'm suprised there's no mention of the ridiculous Jimmy Fallon-like character. He's almost creepy.

I actually liked the episode. It was witty and the comedy, for me at least, lasted throughout the show. Granted, it's certainly not Arrested Development, but that show had 3 seasons... we've only seen 1 episode of this show.
And why are we comparing 30 Rock to Studio 60? It's like saying Scrubs is so much funnier than ER... of course, if ER had Janitor, the comedy would be through the roof.

I laughed a lot. Baldwin is hilarious ("you're dressed for Burger King. Do you want to go to Burger King?").
And many of the little lines like "my sister peed in my eye." I'm not crazy about Tracy since he's just insane and many of his lines were crazy, not funny. We need him to say stuff like on SNL, "the poodle is the black man of the dog world."

For those like me that missed this because they figured it would be complete crap, and are now at least curious, Bravo will be playing the pilot tonight at 7:30pm/6:30pm Central and 11:00pm/10:00pm Central.

Sometimes I wonder what makes people laugh when they didn't laugh at some of the material in this pilot. Let loose, go with it, it's snarky, silly fun.

I'm not up to speed on modern stoves so can someone fill me in on whether that stove that Alec Baldwin talked about is real and, as such, a product placement, or if it was a gag?

It pretty much hit my expectation, a mediocre comedy. Got a laugh or two out of me but it's not something I'll tune into every week. While they're very different shows I would easily pick Studio 60 over this.

I was pleasantly surprised by this show - some of the one-liners were really funny. Baldwin was great, I could take or leave Tracy Morgan, and I've always liked Tina Fey, her stint with SNL notwithstanding (which, considering the two SNL episodes so far, may not have been entirely her fault).

That's it -- I'm out of this show on principle.

I grinned a few times, but not too many laughs. I liked the blatant product placement, the "it's not HBO, it's TV" line, and Tracy Morgan's rant about injecting AIDS into the chicken nuggets. Other than that, it suffered from pilotitis, with lots of forced jokes and a weak rhythm. I like the idea, crazy Morgan can be funny, and Baldwin's great, so I'll give it a chance to find that rhythm in upcoming episodes.

I kind of liked that they made a joke out of it. It didn't bother me. And I've got news for you: you're probably going to start seeing more blatant advertisements within shows because of DVRs.
