The mom also was in Starship Troopers-- she played the Captain of the ship that Denise Richardson was piloting.
So how come Ephram and COlin aren't friends anymore? It seemed odd the way Ephram rushed off when he saw Colin in front of the movie theatre. I was really enjoying their budding friendship. I don't really like Amy & Colin back together. You would think he wouldn't like her constant pressure to be like they used to. |

About time

Okay, the "Colin hulking out" episodes border on stupid. Ain't no way some "medical miracle" would get away with what Colin did with so many eyewitnesses.
Otherwise, a good episode. |
Yeah Patman I do not see how Colin could not get in trouble for assaulting two people. This was a good episode. There's still four more left this season.
|
That was the whole point, that everyone only sees what they want to see - a miracle. They chalk up all his little fits and tantrums as being temporary or just a bump in the road. Brighton finally looks like he's seeing the light. This should be interesting. I think he's going to start connecting with Ephram, which would really turn out to be ironic. Amy is starting to annoy the hell out of me though. Glad to see in the preview that Ephram's moving on. BTW, I liked this episode a LOT, especially the whole Norman Rockwell analogy.
|
Also, I'm more fearful that Colin will hulk out and become physically abusive to Amy, and then you have to wonder if she'll go into that "abusive boyfriend denial" cycle (and blame herself for his abusiveness), or actually figure out that Colin really needs some medical/psychological help.
|
I liked the episode, especially the Norman Rockwell analogy and how it fit with the magazine writer and Colin's friends (well, Amy). I thought something was going to happen at the end of the ep with Colin "hulking out" on Amy, but that'd be too much for one show, I think.
I can't believe Bright just stood there and took those haymakers from Colin. Put your arms up or something, pretty boy! |
I agree that Amy is getting annoying as well. Love is one thing, but this girl is just plain dense.

Pretty good episode tonight. I knowed that piano teacher was up to no good.-ohbfrank- |
That's just wrong...
The explanation for the Everwood Lights was kinda cool. ... that and I don't think I'll sleep so close to my wife tonight. |
good ep, think they are trying to slowly get rid of Colin? Funny that we didn't see him once this episode..
|
Was Colin the person Amy was IMing? And pretty amazing that Amy could just get the screen name "amy," and not "amy3929184930"... maybe she got in on AOL a long time ago. :)
Perhaps Colin's medical condition will get worse (it looks like it already is pretty bad), he'll need to go to some bigger city for more intensive treatment, and... bye bye Colin! Leaving Ephraim and Amy more open for a relationship. I'm so glad Amy's grandma isn't stupid or a pushover, and she called her on her BS. The whole Ephraim-teacher-girl thing was ech. Good TV, but what a mess. And from the previews, it looks like we'll be seeing more of her in the future. I'm looking forward to some good medical ethics dilemmas in the next ep. Does anyone else think that Amy's dad is the best character on the show? He's kind of a dick sometimes, but he's like a Romano dick... a lot of fun to watch. Ephraim's cool, too. |
I really liked Edna in the episode, very straightforward and good storyline with Amy.
I didn't care too much for the icky pedophile thing. It was nice to see Matt depart, though. I could have sworn he would be the Spoiler:
Overall, it was an OK episode. I wasn't really that interested in the fake-UFO thing, and I was indifferent to the lumberjack thing. Meh... So next week is the "Viewer Discretion Advised" one. Hmmmm....I wonder how off the previews are. Usually, I would take them with a grain of salt, but you never know... |

Re: Colin on Everwood:
Spoiler:
The whole statutory rape scenario came out of nowhere. So, was Ephram the better piano player over Kate? Ephram will never know. I liked the UFO subplot, and how Amy and Edna got to spend some quality time. Harold's eyerolling at Doc Brown's cases make me chuckle, they have a good dynamic going on. That lumberjack's wife was beating the tar out of the lumberjack. |
Ok episode, but I didn't like how Everwood turned into Roswell over night over something that really was rather easilly explained, and I didn't buy that Amy and Edna were the only two who could have and did figure it out. There were MANY other people at that camp too that could have seen the truth.
I didn't like the piano playing girl, I found her character to be annoying, and really hope that her having a story line next week doesn't mean we will see her on the show more. The reason I don't want to see that is that if Colin is written out, the writers might be inclined to use piano playing girl to create a new triangle with Ephram and Amy. And, as far as I am concerned, piano playing girl just needs to stay away from Ephram. Speaking of Colin, I saw on E! that one of the season cliff hangers will be that a character Spoiler:

Hey, I just noticed that Michael Erwin (Colin) plays young Bruce Banner in the upcoming Hulk movie. So, I guess "Colin" had more anger issues than we had all imagined... :D

Everwood 05/05
Yeah I know this is early but I just figured I should post this just in case. This week Everwood is not airing in easyview so this new episode will only run Monday at 9:00 PM est.
|
I wonder if the "non easyview" has anything to do with this episodes controversial subject matter... maybe they don't want to show it in the early "easyview" timeslot because they fear parents will complain...that or they don't want to stir up more controversy by airing it a second time...
Anytime a show deals with abortion or the like, it's always asking for some controversy around it, and I'm sure Everwood will be no different. The episode looks great and I can't wait to watch it. MATT |
"She's a violin, she's a guitar, and she's..... bongos." -- Delia
 I feel more and more sorry for Dr. Abbott every week... he got more sympathy this week than Ephriam did. |
Yeah Dr. Abbot was really good this week. When he went into the confessional at the end of the show, I was thinking, "religously speaking, he is more conflicted than most - particularly if he is Catholic." (I watch this show sporadically, so Dr. Abbot being Catholic was news to me - the only time I have ever seen a church service on this show was at a Protestant service when the preacher was alluding to Dr. Brown months ago. Everwood's a small town, I assumed they were most likely all Protestant.)
Good episode tonight. Especially w/ Dr. Brown, Dr. Abbot and his mother. Delia and Nina w/ the Penthouse was too funny. I could barely watch it I was laughing so hard. Good to see Amy stick up to Colin in regards to Ephram. That was a good scene between them before the dance. Looks as if Colin is in medical trouble again. Is this his first seizure since the surgery (again - I don't get to watch this every week)? |
