I didn't know what to expect based on all of the "rave" reviews by critics beforehand. I have never watched the original Colombian telenovela "Betty La Fea" but I have seen episodes of the Mexican version called "La Fea Mas Bella".

All I have to say is that I liked the pilot a lot and I set the season pass for it. America Ferrara is great as Betty and Vanessa Williams is wonderful as the "bitch". Now, just hoping that Salma will be able to make more appearances in this show.

I think most of the glowing reviews were from print media. Wonder why they loved it.

I watched the ABC Family replay to satisfy my morbid curiosity. I'm glad I did. I now know it is most definitely not a show for me.

I would watch a show about Betty and her family, but the fashion stuff just pushes me away. Anyway, it conflicts with Smallville and the Office.

Watched this with my wife since she recorded it and though its really not my cup of tea (couldn't care less about the fashion and magazine world) it really wasn't a bad show at all. However, considering the competition its facing I doubt it will make it through the season.

While first week ratings don't tell the whole story, things look pretty promising for this show based on that measure. I do believe it either won the time slot or finished a close second to Survivor.

Finally watched this today. It was decent, but not as funny as I was led to believe.

I thought it was pretty good, and will watch next week. I thought America did a great job, and it was nice to see Ashley Jensen in it (Maggie, from Extras).

Guess I shouldn't have misunderestimated it. My wife definitely liked it and will probably be watching it all season. I'll check out the second episode at least. I won't argue its the most original show on TV, but it was entertaining and better than most of the new shows I have seen so far.

Saw this last night. Thought it was pretty good. I liked America, but I thought there could've been a wee bit more Salma and Gina..

Together.

I just finally watched this last night. I was really hoping I would hate it so I didn't have yet another show to keep track of, but I actually liked it. I really hate the time slot as I already watch Survivor, Smallville, and The Office. I wish they had kept it on Friday nights as originally planned.

I just saw it online. It was okay, but it could've practically been called "The Devil Wears Prada: The Series" because most plot-points from that movie showed up again in this show.

"Suddenly I See" by KT Tunstall. Another song you might have heard from her is "Black Horse and The Cherry Tree".

I saw the last two episodes on the ABC.com website also. And I loved it! I have to disagree with you though, if anything then the devil wears prada took a page from this show bc the show has older roots than that movie & book. I love it! I can't wait to finally be able to catch a live episode this week!
