HBO rewards 'Entourage' with a fourth season.
HBO orders more 'Entourage'
Tuesday, Sep. 26 2006
HBO has picked up a fourth season of its comedy "Entourage," which scored its
first Emmy win, for supporting actor Jeremy Piven, this year and enjoyed its
best ratings in three seasons over the summer. The network has ordered 12 new
episodes.
" 'Entourage' is a standout hit for HBO," HBO Entertainment president Carolyn
Strauss says. "Thanks to a terrific cast and razor-sharp writing and directing,
this smart, funny show has become a genuine phenomenon."
The show's third season focused on Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his
career ups and downs after the blockbuster success of his movie "Aquaman." It
averaged about 2.5 million viewers for first-run airings (not counting repeats
or on-demand viewing), easily the best of its run so far.
The 12-episode season concluded with Vince, who had self-sabotaged his career
several times post-"Aquaman," firing longtime agent Ari Gold (Piven).
The series also stars Kevin Connolly as Eric, Vince's longtime friend and
manager; Kevin Dillon as Vince's older brother Johnny Drama; and Jerry Ferrara
as Turtle, Vince's friend, driver and wannabe music manager.
Season 3 will resume early next year with eight more shows that will likely be
paired with the final episodes of "The Sopranos."
HBO hasn't set a firm timetable for the fourth season.

Not surprising, but it's nice to see that HBO doesn't have their heads completely up their asses.

With Sporanos ending and their dumb Deadwood decision they're running short on shows that have any real buzz. They need this show right now. Back-to-back Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm followed by Big Love would be my ideal 2007 lineup.

If you weren't hooked by the end of season one, I can't imagine you liking season two any more. Different strokes for different folks. I dont get the hype with Survivor or American Idol, so I don't show up in those threads.

I was simply asking a question, no need to be an A-hole about it.

i thought season 1 was okay too, hence why i have waited to get season 2 but i will end up getting it sooner or later. it's an interesting idea for a show though.

Huge spoiler in that first post, by the way. Those waiting for the DVD (myself included, until my new cable package came with free month of HBO OnDemand), probably don't want to know that
at the end/middle (?) of Season 3.

I'm another one who watched the first season and was underwhelmed. It seemed like the show was just about Hollywood inside jokes and namedropping. Season 2 was much better, and the first part of Season 3 was excellent.

This show is about to become the only reason I keep HBO. I guess I need to cancel it until March.

I'm glad I captured this show in HD on my PC. This show is superb. I can't wait til it starts up again. It would be really funny if Drama gets his career resurrected and all of them start mooching off him.
