They could definitely pull off a version of this show in a half hour, but it would not be the sort of spectacle that this show will hopefully turn into. You wouldn't have time for real guest hosts and musical guests and their stuff. You wouldn't have time for Sorkin to write one killer SNL-style sketch each episode and pretty much show it to us. You'd have Sports Night if you tried to cram it all into a half hour.

Maybe I'm just saying I didn't like the pacing for the 2nd episode.

I'm glad we were able to see a little more of the cast tonight.

I'm not a fan of Harriet, just don't think she is a good actress so far. Otherwise, decent episode.

So, Danny and Matt were going to make a movie about Nikola Tesla? Two people with backgronds in comedy? You reckon it would have been Tesla's zany adventures with electricity? Think they dodged a bullet there. And SNL exists in this universe? That's kind of odd since it essentially is SNL. Wonder if MAD TV exists too.

I don't want to draw to many connections between this and anything else. But the whole Peet vs the Network had almost the same exact vibe as Isaac/Sam vs JJ/Networks.

Great episode. After getting everyone introduced in the 1st episode, I'm glad they could delve more into their backgrounds. I'm really liking DL's.

I loved Sports Night and all but I just hope this show doesn't get all special cause of the week like that show did.

CSC was always third in the ratings behind ESPN and Fox Sports Network. I guess CNNSI was fourth.

I liked it and am sticking to the show for now.

I like most of the characters, a few are a little over the top and cliche'
I do not care for the Harriet character, B-O-R-I-N-G



I love Amanda Peet though.

You know, I think I could actually like the Hariet character if she was played by another actress. A-n-y other actress. Other than that I'm on board with this show as long as NBC keeps it on. Which I hate to say, my guess is it will be more in the ballpark of SportsNight's time on the air as opposed to the great run West Wing was given.

I liked that as well. "we will welcome them back at 120% of their old rate."

Good episode. This is definitely staying on my watch list. Harriet/Paulson is definitely the weak point of the show. Not a very good actress.

Good episode, though I wasn't as impressed with the musical number as some- it wasn't very funny. Amusing, but not funny.

What was up with the group prayer before the show?

I'm impressed with Matthew Perry in his role. Maybe there will be no "Friends" curse after all. Bradford Whitley also does a great job~ There is a touch of restraint that makes it feel real when they could have gone the overacting route.

I'm still waiting for the Ratings Post.

But I love this show. Never watched a Sorkin show before, mind you.

I don't mind Harriet at all, she seems fine to me. And I don't hear a lisp, either.

I'll definitely stick with this one - so far it's my favorite of the new entries for the season.

I don't get all of the Paulson complaining, either. I must say that I do hear the lisp now that it has been pointed out to me. It's a relatively minor one, but it's there.

Yeah, I heard it as well. Much like House's lisp.

I am usually put off by speech impediments in TV and movies. It is after all their profession and if the impediment is distracting enough can pull the viewer out of the show (Ellen Pompeo).

In the case of Paulson and Hugh Laurie, I think they are fine and part of the character .... but Ellen Pompeo's lisp drives me nuts on Grey's Anatomy.

I'm really enjoying this show, except for the Matt/Harriet drama. Harriet just seems like a spoiled drama queen. It's the only element here that feels forced for the sake of drama. Hopefully it's just there to provide early conflict until the people within the show start to really butt heads after working together.

Much better than the pilot. I can really see alot of potential with this show.

Ratings

Yeah the musical wasn't great. I'm sure it served its purpose for the imaginary show, but for the show we watched, I was rather bored.

As for the prayer, I'm guessing that every week someone does it. That's why before they said whose turn is it. I don't mind it. Some people pray that way, it isn't my place to judge.
