I went with Tom & Terry.I see fiesty and nitpicking in their profile and that in TAR usually translates to failure

DVR ALERT:

It is a CBS football doubleheader today. If it runs over 7:30, TAR will be delayed. I suggest padding to be safe. Frankly, I suggest padding TAR permanently.

Without looking at any of the teams I chose Dave & Mary. Their names are too blaise for them to be contenders.

Just a hunch, I'll say Lyn and Karlyn.

Based on the "Rocky relationship" and "looking to the Race to test the strength of their relationship", Rob and Kimberly will be around longer than we can stand

Tyler and James - PLEASE, not another season where an all-male, twenty-something team dominates and wins the race.

Bilal and Sa'eed are allowed one "We want to show everyone that not all Muslims are terrorists" quote for the entire race.

I voted for them too, largely because of the "not a chance in hell" teams, they seem the least interesting. I'm sort of rooting for the coal miner just because coal mining is such crappy and dangerous work that a million dollars could literally save his life. But unless his wife has far more ability than it seems from the profile, I don't see that team making it much past week 3 or 4 at best.

Bilal and Sa'eed are allowed one "We want to show everyone that not all Muslims are terrorists" quote for the entire race.
It'll probably be more like one per week.

Crud. That's all well and good this week, but next week Desparate Housewives starts. Why the hell can't networks schedule football properly?

Does the pre-race interview count? If so, they've already exhausted their alottment.

This is probably a record number of gimmick teams. There is Sarah who I imagine will be like Charla and constantly talk about doing "anything a normal person can do." There's Duke and his Lesbian daughter Lauren. There's the two drug addict models. The only team that doesn't appear to have some sort of hook that would land them on the show is Rob and Kimberly.

I came here to post the same thing. Damn CBS for putting an important show on Sunday nights again. This isn't much of a problem when the biggest thing you have to worry about is Cold Case.

I just dedicated one ReplayTV for CBS shows (after figuring out that I record a lot of CBS show, more than any other single network), and record the entire Sunday CBS slate, and pad Without a Trace by 30 minutes.

I decided to vote David and Mary. I just have a feeling that Mary's inexperience when it come to travel might get the best of them.

Thanks for the football reminder. I would be very pissed off if I forgot to pad it and then came home after work excited to watch and didn't get to see the whole thing.

They will never do it, but if CBS just cut a segment (and Andy Rooney) of 60 Minutes (45 Minutes? 37 Minutes?) when it was necessary, the football overruns wouldn't be a problem.

The games are all over, so there should be no overrun.

CBS would never cut 60 Minutes down - it is one of their highest rated programs and they want those commercial sales.
