So far, I'm good. Got the dual-tuner HD Tivo working overtime downstairs, but the bedroom dual-tuner SD picks up the slack.

We'll see how it goes once the shows really ramp up.

It's funny that last year I had a lot of conflicts, but this year not any - even though I'm watch mostly all of the same shows again.

This Year:
SUNDAY: American Dad & Family Guy
MONDAY: (nothing)
TUESDAY: NOVA & Veronica Mars (only a conflict if NOVA is a 2-hour special episode)
WEDNESDAY: LOST
THURSDAY: My Name Is Earl & The Office & Supernatural (last year: conflict; this year: no conflict)
FRIDAY: Battlestar Galactica
SATURDAY: (nothing)

(Although I own two DVRs to resolve conflicts, this is the first season I really only need one of them.)

Dont have any. 1 dual tuner is enough to get every single show I watch.

Mondays
Prison Break, How I Met Your Mother, and Studio 60

Tuesdays
Veronica Mars

Wednesdays
Jericho, Lost, and South Park

Thursdays
The Office, My Name Is Earl, Survivor, CSI, Greys Anatomy

Sundays
The Wire

I have a dual tuner HD DirecTivo downstairs and a dual tuner SD DirecTivo upstairs. If I didn't want to watch all my shows in HD, I wouldn't have this conflict:

Monday - Vanished, Heroes, and Monday Night Football.

I'll probably move vanished to SD since I don't find the show to be THAT good, but I'm already committed to it after watching the first 4 episodes.

3 DirecTiVos, 6 active tuners, over 200 hours (modified) recording capacity
Local network affiliates (ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CW, PBS)
NY & LA distant network affiliates (ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox)

Conflicts ? I'd llike to see 'em try
At least I don't feel so bad about my post now:

3 DirecTiVos + 1 MPEG4 receiver = 7 tuners (3 HD) + LA feeds for 3-hour shifts.

Conflict this!

America's Next Top Model

America's Next Top Model usually runs again during the week doesnt it? Does anybody know when that will be?
Maybe the conflict will get better when DWTS stops being 2 hours, and ANTM is also 2 hours at first~

With the ability to record 4 shows at once, I won't have any problems. I really haven't looked at the final schedule grid in detail, but I think my busiest hours are probably...

Tuesday at 10 (BL, SVU, Nip/tuck) and
Thursday at 8 (Survivor, Earl/Office, Smallville, and Ugly Betty (if I like it)).

So far the only one I can see is Smallville/The Office/Survivor Thursday night. Since Smallville has always been just a show I watch, never really love, that will get bumped. I'll either catch up through dvds or other means.

I don't have nearly the recording capacity some of you do. I'm only OK if I'm home to watch one, and DVR another. Then I only have two hours of "third choice" this week which I have to VCR.

When season is underway, as many as five hours might get "third choiced" to VCR. Hopefully, I'll hate some of them.

2 HD-DVRs and 1 Tivo in the house. Not to mention that wonderful invention called BitTorrent. I think I'm set, especially with hardly any new shows worth checking out IMO.

I'm counting on Fox's October baseball playoff coverage to ease my conflicts at certain times in the week (Tuesday and Thursday, mainly). I'm going to limp along with my other 2 VCRs for potential conflicts (mainly between NBC shows and CW shows in the 8-10 timeslot).

CBS on Sunday nights

Sorry if this topic has been brought up before, but is there anyone else who has problems recording shows on CBS on Sunday nights?

I live in Texas and almost always during football season the games run late, thus forcing my DVR timers to be off by 10, 15 , or 20 minutes. Not cool since I record both Cold Case and Without a Trace.

Yep, it sucks.

I set up a recurring manual recording for CBS 11pm-12am in order to catch any overrun. I also record Amazing Race as well so I just watch the overrun for each show on the next recording and then I have the manual recording catch any overrun for WaT that I can immediately delete if it there wasn't a delay that week.

My only conflict is Tuesdays at 9, when I have:

Veronica Mars
The Unit
The Knights of Prosperity (on a tryout)

if/when they all air at the same time, the Knights get shunted to my circa 1991 VCR
