I've seen a few mentions of fondness for Gina Torres on here and I don't really know who she is. Is the reason because she's a good actress or because she is attractive. I don't really see her as being attractive in any way so I assume it is the acting.

I liked this episode. I always prefer character driven shows over plot driven, and Ron Livingston always does good stuff.
|
I thought it was average at best.
Rosemarie DeWitt is easy on the eyes. I read the other day she's the granddaughter of James Braddock, the guy Crowe played in Cinderella Man. |
It was fine. Shows like this are harmless and won't go anywhere compelling, so it's all about whether you like the leads. DeWitt is attractive, and Livingston is always entertaining, so I can stand to watch it from time to time.

She'll always be Hel and Nebula to me.

Wow, that was a painful show to watch. |
I also managed to get thru the first episode. But I dare not return for thy second.

I thought it was okay... I think, as in most new shows it suffered from Pilotitis.
If if doesn't improve in the next 2 eppys.. then it's gone. |
I really tried to like the show, but I could only stomach the first 15mins. The whole romance between the 2 leads turns me off. It seems like they were trying to hard to reach the male and female demo on this show. Who knows it maybe a hit.

The big lead-in helped new series "Standoff" draw an 8.4/13 for FOX at 9 p.m. A "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" rerun on NBC was second in households at 5.0/8, but CBS' "Rock Star: Supernova" (4.8/7) had a few more total viewers. A second hour of "Jim" improved to 4.0/6 for ABC, while The WB closed its night with another "Gilmore Girls."

This episode was entertaining enough but i'm not sure of the long term potential
I'll call this one a ball and give it another few strikes before giving it up verdict - pending |
Didn't like it. I generally try to give shows two or three chances, since the first episode tends to be awkward in introducing characters and relationships, but this really does not seem like it will get any better.
For a minute during the beginning, I thought that Livingston was channeling his Office Space character. |
