I read somewhere that every Prison Break has a SigEp reference to it. Anybody know the truth to that?

i agree about the necessity of suspension of disbelief, but, a HAND in a vet's office. not only do you have to worry about the microsurgery aspects of the reattchment (arteries, veins, nerves, tendons, etc ...), but what about the radius and ulna. they have been severed completely -- without external fixation, his newly reattached appendage would be flopping around like a second wrist.

i hope it falls off somewhere along I 80.

Well I caught the show on FOX.com since they fucked up the friday. Anyway I had some questions since I NEVER saw Season 1, so some help is greatly appreciated!

What did the prison guard do? Sold security to an inmate? Huh?

What did the son do? WHys he framed for murder?

Why do the 2 bros have different last names?

How did everyone find out about Utah?

After watching the first 2 shows I have to ask, where are they? Are they still close to the prison because too many people are in high alert. I suppose as they travel further more people wont pay attention to them. Oh and I called the guard turning bounty hunter right when he grabbed the gun. I knew he wasnt going to kill himself but maybe turn vigilante or someshit.

I actually enjoy the show. Sure its full of shit but its something a bit different and you dont know what shit theyll throw at the wall. Plus TBag is great. "My hand.. it is die-ing" That cracks me up.

The prison guard gives John Abruzzi power within the prison in exchange for money given to him every month.

What did the son do? WHys he framed for murder?

He didn't do anything. He is framed for killing his mom/dad. They're taking him in in hopes that they can catch Burrows and Scofield. They're using him as bait, in essence. That is why they haven't killed him yet.

Why do the 2 bros have different last names?

Dunno, who cares.

How did everyone find out about Utah?

One of the inmates who was escaping with them was severed in the stomach by a glass shard. By the time they made it over the wall, he had died from bleeding. Westmorland, this inmate was called, on his dying breath mentioned about 5 million dollars he had stashed under his ranch in Utah.

They're fugitives.

Their father left the family while their mother was pregnant with the younger brother, so he got his mother's maiden name after he was born.

Prison Break's going off the rails. All the tension and smart, great writing from Season one has dissipated. The big evil bitch who was the main villain simply doesn't feature any more. It's like -- what big evil bitch Mrs. President who threatened everybody's lives last season? They should have at least re-casted her instead of abruptly stop featuring her.

He even grabbed the doc by the throat with the bad arm!
I thought that was hilarious. I think it was all part of a ploy to make T-Bag even more reprehensible. Not only is he a creepy child molester/rapist/murderer, but he just killed the greatest surgeon in the history of all time!

According to my closed captioning, the car had AutoStar.

By the way, here's a little tip for those of you who have escaped from prison, had your hand cut off and sewn back on, and then killed the veteranarian who sewed your hand back on in order to cover your trail as you escape toward Utah: Don't steal that vet's AutoStar equipped car and then use AutoStar to get directions to Utah. T-Bag might as well buy a can of neon orange spray paint and paint "I am an escaped convict" on the car.

Did you even watch the episode? The doctor wrapped it in an Ace bandage. What more external fixation do you want!?

The guard sold the ability to run the work details, which gave Abruzzi the power to select who worked where. This allowed Abruzzi to pick the escapees and let them dig an escape tunnel in the guard's break room under the guise of doing repair work.
What did the son do? WHys he framed for murder?
In the first season much of the consipracy plot focused around the vice president and two Secret Service guards doing the wet work. I'm not sure why they went to visit Linc's son, but his mom and stepdad walked in when one of them had LJ at gun point and it ended up with the parents dead and LJ framed for it.

Later on LJ found out where one of the SS guys lived and, obviously being his retarded father's son, decided to confront him alone, which resulted in his arrest. The FBI guy wanted to use LJ to lure his father in, but so far there has been no evidence that he is part of the Gov conspiracy.
After watching the first 2 shows I have to ask, where are they?
When they escaped the original plan was to take a van and meet a plane Abruzzi has arranged for at a local airport. Presumably it was within a dozen miles or so of the prison. The season ended with the plane taking off without them and the inmates running on foot into the woods by the runway.

And why didn't Scofield pack a couple of ZZ Top beards and afro wigs for him and Link.
Because that would hide their incredible hotness. And then what reason would I have to watch the show? But yeah, Linc's slow-mo strut down the road like he was on the catwalk was hysterically stupid. But anything short of them flying to Utah on a magic carpet won't cause me to stop watching simply because I'm so invested in the characters at this point. The contrivance and unbelivability just makes me giggle but I move on from it.

And it's pretty funny that T-Bag had his hand cut off but now he's skipping off to the money, meanwhile Linc's had a flesh wound inflicted and they're trying to play it up like something major. Oh, Prison Break, what will you do next?

Promo:
Spoiler:
I wonder if they're just faking us out next week and it turns out no one dies. Either that or Haywire since he doesn't really matter anyway.

It would be hilarious if T-Bag's vet-attached hand started involuntarily scratching his ears for fleas.

If the vet were smart, before T-Bag killed him he should have said "But how will you know what drugs you need to take so your body doesn't reject the hand?"

Thanks for the info guys; it really helps!

Just to clarify, they HAVENT revealed the whole conspircay yet right? I understand the bro is accused of killing the vice pres or the pres brother (have they said what this is covering up?) but he was found alive under house arrest by Tunney. Theyre using the son to find his father, but why? Cause hes a fugitive or does he have certain info?

Shit, I wish they would put the season 1 on sale for $20 like the do all the time for 24

They have revealed enough that I wouldn't be disappointed if they mostly dropped it.

First, they revealed there is your typical illuminati/NWO/corporate cabal that is giving the VP orders. Her brother was involved in some kind of financial scheme and was about to be exposed, so they framed Linc for the murder, but secretly stashed the VP's Bro away. At first it appeared that Linc was just a random patsy, but later in the season he briefly escaped with the help of his estranged father who it turns out was ex-CIA (or NSA or something) and left his family 20 years ago in order to protect them. Pops went rogue and left the organization so the cabal framed Linc in order to lure him out, because he knows too much.

This season the actress who played the VP left the show and they haven't even touched on the major conspiracy other than to knock off Veronica, which they had to do because S1 ended with a cliffhanger situation of her confronting the VP's brother, and they couldn't just ignore that.

As far as using LJ, I think it was really just an excuse for the FBI guy to be with LJ when they attempted to rescue him. Like I said previously, there has been no indications that the FBI guy is part of the conspiracy, so apparently he just wants to recapture them as fugitives. The VP and pals want Linc dead, just to wrap up loose ends, but as yet there is no indication of them taking action on that front.

As far as we know, William Fichtner's character isn't in on the conspiracy; he's just looking to get the fugitives.

It hasn't been revealed yet who (if anyone) on the "conspiracy" side of the show is looking for the fugitives.

*EDIT* wmansir beat me to it, and said it a lot better than I did.

My wife's wild theory is that Fichtner's character will end up exposing the conspiracy in his pursuit of the fugitives.

You mean Nick Savrinn? He was killed last season along with his father because he didn't deliver Veronica to... someone. I can't remember whether it was Abruzzi (he was working for him) or the bigger conspiracy. They found him dead in his apartment an hour before LJ recieved the phonecall from his father.

It was Abruzzi's people. Of course, we're not entirely sure what (if any) connection they have with the global conspiracy.

I think it was 100% to ensure that Michael would tell Abruzzi where Fibonacci is.

I watched this episode yesterday and was scanning over this thread looking for something that no one mentioned...maybe I missed it, but what happened to the police office that got on the elevator first with Linc's son. Did I miss something happening to him when Linc & Scofield opened the top elevator door or did he just conveniently disappear?

Love this thread. It's funnier that the show!

When Fitchner decided to ride in the elevator with LJ, he sent the cop away (I guess the elevator had a maximum occupancy of 2).
