At least we have YouTube, so we can still see a racial stereo-typing Snow White cartoon or Donald Duck as a Nazi.

I'm fine with this. Those broadcasts are meant for little kids. Do the lack of cigs make them and less funny? And it sounds like the bad guys still get to smoke - just like real life

Now that cartoon chararters won't be smoking anymore, I'm sure no more kids will ever pick up smoking ever again. I grew up on cartoons and never smoked one cigarette but the removal of them now makes me mad enough to want to shove one in the mouth of Turner's kid or grandkid to get them hooked.

Well I know a lot of older people watch and enjoy the cartoons that are ran on TCM and Boomerang. Capturing a nugget of childhood all over again.

The only reason I don't care for these types of edits is that these cartoon's are a part of our history. A reflection of the time, and you loose something, however small, when they go in and make changes like this. Who in their right mind started smoking because of Tom & Jerry anyway?

when they quit playing Dodgeball in PE. That was the exact point where our kids became pussies. Dodgeball should be required at every PE class in the nation and hell, we should all have to play it at work for 30 minutes every day as well!

I guess I don't really care as long as the original source material is available.
