What a sad ending for Ellsworth. Overall a very sombre episode, but still with the occasional splash of humour to lighten it somewhat. I'm going to miss this show!

Cool scene with Charlie Udder and Dan and whatshisname at the table in the Gem. Udder and Dan coming to terms with being on the same side and Udder making himself more comfortable with Al's boys.

I'm not into westerns and I can remember thinkinig to myself that I wouldn't like this show before it aired but I've been hooked since episode 1. It truly is a great show and I'll miss it. I can't understand HBO's stance on their dispute.

That said I also hate the acting troupe scenes, although I like Langriche's character.

Has the 2 telefilms, actually been confirmed? I've just got a feeling it's not going to happen. The only bright spot is that the promo for next week said, season finale and not series finale.

I think they've been confirmed. Seems like a pretty sure thing as of now, just not going to happen for a while.

I would guess Dec 2007 just before they air the first movie in the spring.

I can't believe we are getting robbed of 8 hours of Deadwood...

Yes, holy thread bump. :-P I've taken the advice of many of you and have watched suggested shows I missed during first-run while on my train commute. Anything from Arrested Development to The Wire, Six Feet Under, and now Deadwood. Haven't been disappointed yet. I've just finished watching this episode and agree that the Trixie/Sol scene going to "Swedgin" was superb.

I've read old episode threads as I watched them and just like I did when I was finishing up with AD & Six Feet Under, I'm taking a few days break before watching the finale..mainly because I don't want the show to end!! I'm currently watching the burn off episodes of Kings to get my Ian McShane fix. Anyways, superb penultimate episode and thanks to everyone here for your spot on show recommendations.

More shows should have bodiless heads to talk to.
