24 Season 6 Casting/Plot Spoilers
From AintitCool:
So, I guess NONE of the season will be in China. Which begs the question: why or how did Jack get back to the States? Why would the Chinese torture him and just let him go?
Wayne Palmer in the White House !
TV Guide’s tireless Michael Ausiello reports that Eric Balfour will return to his pre-Chloe season-one role of computer geek Milo Pressman on “24” - reminding us all of those early days of Nina Myers, Jamey Farrell, Alan York and a bat-wielding senator David Palmer. Chloe’s foreigner ex-husband will return from last season, according to Ausiello, who also says “Deep Space Nine’s” Alexander Siddig will play a bad guy. The current print edition of TV Guide, meanwhile, offers some plot points. Producer-director John Cassar tells the magazine the season begins in the aftermath of a successful terrorist act that will likely remind viewers of the early hours of Sept. 11, 2001. Jack Bauer, apparently, couldn’t prevent the attack because he’s a been a mess, having undergone two months of torture at the hands of the Chinese. If Jack was in Chinese hands only two months, this suggests he’s probably been back in the states for quite a while as season six begins. For those who haven’t heard, the White House of season six is in the hands of the Democrats, with David Palmer’s brother Wayne the commander-in-chief.
Fox begins broadcasting new episodes of "24" in early January.

As for Milo....I have never seen Eric Balfour be good in anything...ever. Why does he get work?

I would've included Paget Brewster, but in fairness Huff and Andy Richter Controls the Universe did each get a second season.

Another casting news for 24 as per TVguide online...
Infamous show-killer Rena Sofer (Blind Justice, Coupling) is joining 24 for a mult-episode arc, a well-placed source confirms. The General Hospital Emmy winner will play the wealthy, Bel Air wife of returning evildoer Graham, played by Paul McCrane. (And I was only half-joking about the show-killer thing. Me like Sofer.)

24 really has it made. They could do ANYTHING in the season finale, because the following season takes place years afterwards. They could kill Jack, because they could say two years later they figured out a way to clone him or something. They could destroy the whole country and just say it got better.

I saw Jack Bauer - um...I mean Keifer Sutherland - filming in downtown LA a few weeks back. I walked by this alley between two office buildings and all their cameras were setup but they were between takes. Jack was on a stool by himself in the middle of everything w/ everyone else a good 15 feet away. He looked up at me and saw me staring straight at him and gave me the look he gives to all terrorists right before he's going to kill him, then he buried his head back into his hands, hunched in the stool. He looked TIRED. I wonder if he goes without sleep on purpose to play his role in 24 better.
