Firefly Season 2?

Hello All,

I was looking around on IMDB and I noticed someone posted a web site called Fireflyseason2.com Does anyone know if there will be a season 2 of Firefly or is just some fan's wishful thinking? They mention pay per view and other thinks, is there really a chance Firefly will come back? Personally I love it but it sounds like a longshot...Anyone have any info?

Never going to happen. At this point, the only thing that may ever happen after Serenity's success/failure is a direct-to-video sequel with a lower budget. And the chance that actually happens is pretty rare.

Sadly, no. I would love a sequel or a new show but I think all those involved in Firefly and Serenity have moved on.

From what I've read, I think that Joss will be doing more Firefly/Serenity comics with Dark Horse along with the Buffy "Season 8" project.

(At least it's something.)

Yeah, that is something. If he does those, I'll eagerly purchase every issue.

This reminds me of the sad groups of Quantum Leap fans. About a million years ago (more like 5), Scifi.com stated they had greenlit a QL telefilm and possible series, and had hired a writer with Bellasario Producing. Well even to this day these diehard fans are expecting it to come out anyday now, even though the writer has stated he's no longer working on it, Bellassario says he can't see it happening, and Stockwell and Bakula have moved on to other projects.

But hey, it's got an IMDB entry too, so it must be true.

Never say never! But... er... it's probably very unlikely to ever happen. As said above, the next thing is probably going to be more comics. In the meantime, if you really need a fix, there's always the "Done The Impossible" fan-documentary as discussed in the DVD section!

Where? I think I saw Janye in a movie but other than that, I haven't heard of them working.

I've seen Gina Torres (Zoe) in commercials for some new show on Fox. It's the one about hostage negotiators or something.

Gina seems to be the busiest of the bunch. She kicked ass on The Shield as Forest Whittaker's mentally-ill exwife.
