And he can't spell the nicknames, either: Payshintz, Deelishis, Spunkeey, etc (although I will give him credit for doing a good job of sounding them out).

flav is one of those guys that I'm not sure if it is an act or not... in the same way with Jessica Simpson... Are they really that dumb or are they smart enough to know they can make themselves famous by being dumb? Flav has had a 25+ year successful career travelling the world by basically wearing clocks and saying "Yeah... boy", meanwhile my career involves sitting in a cube answering computer questions... who's the stupid one?

I can assure you it's no act... in either case. Perhaps their handlers are encouraging moronic behavior, but neither of them have to work hard, if at all, to appear as morons.

No, he's made himself rich by being the comic foil in one of the most militant, and influential music acts of all time.

There is no denying that wether you like rap or not, Public Enemy is in the Pantheon of music acts that trancended 'This song is cool, this song is not' and was bigger than thier hits.

Flava Flav was a HUGE part of that...his rediculous antics somehow made watching what was essentially a facist revolutionary group somehow more tolerable.

agreed.. his 'act' which is goofy is responsible for bringing in a large white audience and 3 shows now on VH1.. so i think it is an act.. i don't think he is truly as dumb as he appears

All the money and fame are merely a consequence of his charisma, or perhaps the appeal of his combined foolishness and flamboyance, steered by his handlers.

I guess I can catch the full eps on vh1.com. I'll give it mtv.com and vh1.com, they make it easy to catch up on shows. I've been watching whole eps of real world and fresh meat on mtv.com and I caught the full finale of My fair brady on vh1.com. The after show clips and shit you didn't see clips are pretty cool too.
