Law & Order: Big changes this Fall for all 3
There was big article on L&O in yesterday's NYT:
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/16/ar...syahoo&emc=rss
Seems there will be a lot of changes this Fall as they try to shake things up. SVU will be changed the least. Which is good, since it's my favorite.

While the scale of those casting changes may be unusually high, Mr. Wolf has long been regarded as among the most skillful producers at helping acclimate audiences to new characters — whether it was Paul Sorvino replacing George Dzundza in the role of detective after Season One of the original series (followed by Jerry Orbach the following year), or Sam Waterston’s Jack McCoy breaking in no fewer than four assistant district attorneys over the last decade. “If the past is any example,” said Mr. Waterston, who joined the cast in 1994, “it’s always been fresh wind coming out of these changes, though it’s been crummy to say goodbye.”

Alot of this has been covered in various threads since May, but it's nice to see it all condensed into one thread like this.
I'm welcomed to all the changes and its nice that my two favorite characters from Conviction (Govich and Nicholson) were given spots on Wolf's other series.

I'm also all for the changes. L&O seems to thrive on change, and hopefully it'll shake things up and inject some vitality back into it.

I'm going to seriously miss Mariska. She's one of...a handful of women I could EVER be attracted to. I'd turn str8 for her.
Side note: i JUST got into L&O about a year ago. I can't stand CI but I watch the other two like crazy...sometimes watching 2-3 episodes a day on the weekends, if I can.
Absolutely love this show.

I don't blame Courtney Vance for leaving - wonderful actor and from what I saw, they never gave him shit to do.
With Sciorra leaving, I'm probably going to dump CI. I only watched the Noth episodes last year anyhow.

I don't really like the pairing of the detectives on the main L&O show. Govich and Martin both seem like supporting characters with nobody to take command in the scenes.

This was probably just him deciding to move on.

Aside from that one scene where he holds the knife in the air, Vance does more in those 30-second "This is My South" ads for TurnerSouth than he did in 5 seasons of Law and Order: Robert Goren.

His biggest contribution to L&O was when he played the stock-broker murderer in an original L&O episode - great villian.

Why do they not bring Logan back to the 27?!
They need to let Much and Finn take the lead on SVU for a few episodes and see ratings soar.

How are they explaining her absence?
