I believe that would be my vote, Studio 60

LorenzoL 07-08-06 05:23 AM

I'm looking forward to Jericho, Heroes, Studio 60...Strip, The Traveler (Midseason replacement), Six Degrees and 30 Rock.

I'm sure I'll be checking out the other shows too.

LorenzoL 07-08-06 05:30 AM

Here are some of the early reviews of the above shows based on their pilots:

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

The Nine

Friday Night Lights

Six Degrees

Heroes

Smith

Jericho

Kidnapped

aynrandgirl 07-08-06 06:19 AM

Vanished

das Monkey 07-08-06 10:10 AM

This is a no-brainer. The Sorkin/Schlamme combo has produced, by far, the best television of the last 10 years. More than anything next Fall, I hope NBC gives it a fair shake.

Snowmaker 07-08-06 10:33 AM

I don't really recognize a single title.

Red Dog 07-08-06 11:35 AM

What else: Studio 60.

Jericho sounds intriguing.

Geofferson 07-08-06 12:07 PM

My top 3:

Studio 60
Heroes
Smith

garmonbozia 07-08-06 12:51 PM

Studio 60, because it seems like it will be more in the vein of Sports Night (which I totally love) rather than The West Wing (which I totally hate).

William Fuld 07-08-06 01:35 PM

Twenty Good Years

SuperBatMan 07-08-06 01:58 PM

Heroes.

BJacks 07-08-06 03:34 PM

Jericho is interesting, but I was bugged by the show's repeated use of sappy music (think Goo Goo Dolls-esque) and series of coincidences that happen in the pilot. That said, there's definitely room for it to grow (particularly with regard to the characters which need some good backstories to make you care about them...you don't in the pilot) so I'm looking forward to the second episode. Haven't seen Heroes yet but the premise sounds enjoyable.

Reading the reviews of most of the pilots for the upcoming season shows, I think the prevailing theme will be the use of coincidence as a plot device.

treszoks 07-19-06 07:29 PM

I watched the Heroes and The Nine pilots and they were both pretty good but I liked Heroes more. The Nine seems more like a movie and one of those series like Prison Break that leaves you wondering if it will be possible to make that last past a season.

Strange, I feel the exact opposite on those shows, but Sorkin's been good for television, so I'm definately tuning in.

lordwow 07-19-06 08:11 PM

Studio 60
Jericho
Justice (FOX) looks interesting as well.

I only watch a handful of shows on live TV anyway though.

Jimmy James 07-19-06 08:13 PM

I'll take:

Studio 60
30 Rock (if they haven't messed it up with changes)
the former Let's Rob Mick Jagger

I might sample others.

Achtung 07-19-06 09:45 PM

Definitely looking forward to "Studio 60" and "Heroes" (the latter sounding like a more "real" X-Men sort of plot).

Slowpc 07-19-06 09:50 PM

Heroes and Studio 60 myself.

I think that review is dead on

I'm most looking forward to Studio 60

GeoffreyL 07-19-06 09:58 PM

Jericho sounds pretty interesting. I really haven't heard much about any of these, so I will have to wait awhile to see what else sounds good.

Sir_Fireboard 07-19-06 10:20 PM

The Heroes pilot was great so I can't wait for it to start.

magiccmom 07-19-06 10:46 PM

Voted other....For Justice (more spy daddy!!)
but my 16 year old son can't wait to watch Justice.

sven 07-20-06 01:34 AM

Jericho
The Nine
Heroes

Jobronie 07-20-06 06:30 AM

60
30 (you really should get that one up on the poll, OP)

mphtrilogy 07-20-06 07:19 AM

what about betty the ugly?

Groucho 07-20-06 08:34 AM

I've seen the ads for Heroes and it looks interesting but how many characters does this show have? It makes Lost look like a Spalding Gray movie!

Goldberg74 07-20-06 08:55 AM

Like most folks here, I'm really only looking forward for Studio 60 and Heroes.

Raul3 07-20-06 05:28 PM

Studio 60, Heroes and Jericho.

DJariya 07-22-06 01:13 PM

FOX: Looking forward to Vanished (although the Da Vinci Code looking storyline concerns me), Standoff and Justice
NBC: Will try Friday Night Lights, Heroes and Kidnapped
CBS: Shark and Smith (not sure about Jericho)
ABC: The Nine

kenage 07-24-06 07:02 PM

After seeing the pilot at ComicCon I have to put my vote on "Heroes."

LorenzoL 07-29-06 07:27 AM

For those who haven't seen it yet, NBC will be releasing the first episode of "Heroes" on iTunes as a free download starting Sept. 1st.

Autotelik 07-29-06 06:58 PM

Hmm, didn't see anything about "Brothers and Sisters" until I saw the ad today on ABC. Ron Rifkin and Rachel Griffiths is in it (as is Calista Flockhart). Might check that out.

Slayer2005 07-29-06 07:21 PM

Heroes

bullwinkle 07-29-06 11:44 PM

I've seen the pilots of Heroes and The Nine, and both were very good. Heroes has limitless potential, but I'm not sure where The Nine will go long-term.

I'll definitely be watching these two and also Studio 60, Six Degrees, and possibly some others (Jericho, Kidnapped, etc.) depending on initial reviews.

critterdvd 07-30-06 03:41 AM

I just finished watching both "Jericho" and "Heroes" and I really enjoyed both of them, and they both have potential... but there was just something about "Jericho" that made me like it just a tad bit better... I still havn't been able to find "Brothers and Sisters" or "Friday Night Lights" but both of them look really good as well...

matthewmilam 07-30-06 07:35 AM

I wish I could get to see these pilots like the rest of you do.
