mphtrilogy 07-20-06 07:19 AM

what about betty the ugly?

Groucho 07-20-06 08:34 AM

I've seen the ads for Heroes and it looks interesting but how many characters does this show have? It makes Lost look like a Spalding Gray movie!

Goldberg74 07-20-06 08:55 AM

Like most folks here, I'm really only looking forward for Studio 60 and Heroes.

Raul3 07-20-06 05:28 PM

Studio 60, Heroes and Jericho.

DJariya 07-22-06 01:13 PM

FOX: Looking forward to Vanished (although the Da Vinci Code looking storyline concerns me), Standoff and Justice
NBC: Will try Friday Night Lights, Heroes and Kidnapped
CBS: Shark and Smith (not sure about Jericho)
ABC: The Nine

After seeing the pilot at ComicCon I have to put my vote on "Heroes."

LorenzoL 07-29-06 07:27 AM

For those who haven't seen it yet, NBC will be releasing the first episode of "Heroes" on iTunes as a free download starting Sept. 1st.

Autotelik 07-29-06 06:58 PM

Hmm, didn't see anything about "Brothers and Sisters" until I saw the ad today on ABC. Ron Rifkin and Rachel Griffiths is in it (as is Calista Flockhart). Might check that out.

Heroes

I've seen the pilots of Heroes and The Nine, and both were very good. Heroes has limitless potential, but I'm not sure where The Nine will go long-term.

I'll definitely be watching these two and also Studio 60, Six Degrees, and possibly some others (Jericho, Kidnapped, etc.) depending on initial reviews.

critterdvd 07-30-06 03:41 AM

I just finished watching both "Jericho" and "Heroes" and I really enjoyed both of them, and they both have potential... but there was just something about "Jericho" that made me like it just a tad bit better... I still havn't been able to find "Brothers and Sisters" or "Friday Night Lights" but both of them look really good as well...

matthewmilam 07-30-06 07:35 AM

I wish I could get to see these pilots like the rest of you do.

rayw69 07-30-06 08:34 AM

I seem to be in the minority here, but I thought the pilot of Heroes was horrible. Not that I think a pilot is going to be a reflection of the rest of the show itself. I've seen quite a few shows which had a weak pilot, but came on strong afterwords. I'm going to give it a shot when the season starts. But I'm definitely less enthused after having seen the pilot.

The Studio 60 pilot, on the other hand, was brilliant. I'm a Sorkin whore though, so take that for what it is worth.

sven 07-30-06 01:56 PM

I thought Heroes was ok. Didnt like the whiney emo guy. Or the completely retarded logic of the Indian guy. But it still has potential.

And Sally Field was just added as her mother.

Good:Calista Flockhart as Kitty Walker
Ron Rifkin as Saul Ashman
Balthazar Getty as Charlie Walker
Rachel Griffiths as Nora Walker
Patricia Wettig as Holly Harper

Bad:Marti Noxon

They are reshooting some of the pilot for a lighter tone because it goes up against Desperate Housewives.

Also looking forward to Heroes.

There are many shows I'm interested in checking out, but #1 is Vanished, as I'm a big Gale Harold fan.
