Pretender Series Questions

Opinions on this show please. Also, does the series finale wrap up all (most) of the storylines?

Thanks

No, the last "episode" per say is the tv movie The Pretender: The Island of the Haunted. I asked the same question a while back. Here is the thread:

I bought Season 1 as a blind buy as I liked the sound of it. Enjoyed it at first. But about two-thirds of the way through the season, I became completely bored with it. Same thing every week: he takes on some profession somewhere and saves someone. The story arc was not paid enough attention and just went round in circles. By the end of Season 1, I decided I didn't care anymore and gave up.

I think in later seasons they focused more on the back story of his family and the goings on at "The Center" and less on 'job of the week' stories. Although I was never a weekly viewer so I can't say for sure.

You are correct. I love the show, and it got better every season. Then the canned it. Ouch. I always hold out hope for that final tv movie to tie every last thing up. Ok, that's probably delusional at this point, but that's my story and I am sticking to it.

You probably already know this, but I'll mention it anyway. Best Buy has the first three seasons on sale this week for $14.99 each. You can order it online and you'll also get free shipping. There's also a 10% coupon that you can print out and take to the store. The coupon is supposed to be only valid on regularly priced titles, but my local BB took it without any problems[making it $13.50 each]. Here's the link to the coupon[the coupon expires on July 4]-

Thanks everybody. I was trying to decide whether to blind buy it because it was such a good price at bestbuy.

Looks like I'm picking up all three seasons this week.

By the way, I loved this show and never missed an ep. I was sad to see it go.

This show survived three seasons in the Friday Night time slot of death.

I liked the show back when it first was aired, but refuse to buy the DVDs as they never wrapped up the storyline. They had a great chance to do it with the TV movie and didn't. Very frustrating.
