I don't think there is any such thing as an underrated Buffy episode.

It's like asking if there is an underrated Star Wars film.

I just meant that when people talk about the best of Buffy you inevitably hear "Once More with Feeling","Hush","Becoming 1&2",etc,etc...But there are those other episodes that are great but maybe you didnt notice them first time around so if anyone has one they can think of feel free to post it

Only losers remember the name of tv episodes. Oh wait, right. Ok I'll go with Superstar. It had that guy from the matrix in it.

I think S4's Pangs is pretty underrated for comedy. Also, the Zeppo is somewhat underrated.

Off Topic- The Angel episode The Girl in Question is very underrated.

The Xander-centric episodes: "The Zeppo" and "The Replacement" are two that I like a lot.

"Ted" with John Ritter, and "I Was Made To Love You" (which would have been terrific if Britney Spears had played the robot-girl, like she was supposed to)

"A New Man" from S4 when Giles turns into a demon.

"Checkpoint" from S5 when the Scoobs are investigated by the Watcher's Council.

"Normal Again" from S6 when Buffy believes she's a mental patient having delusions.

"Lies My Parents Told Me" from S7

Thanks for all the good choices so far, some of my favorites have been mentioned(The Wish,Zeppo,Normal Again) and other ones that i cant recall exactly so i was thinking what season to watch next now that ive finished 4 but im gonna go with episodes listed here instead.

Oh and also from season 4(since its fresh on my mind) an episode that i really enjoyed is "Fear,Itself" with them trapped in the sorority house and the eventual "confrontation" with a demon whos appearance is quite unexpected

I like Earshot from season 3, where Buffy is telepathic.

I'd have to go with season 5's "Forever;" when dawn tries to bring her mother back from the dead. The Body gets all the attention, forever has almost the same amount of emotional punch.

This is a tough choice. There are plenty of single underrated episodes. Restless seems underated, but generally it's very highly thought of. It's one of the best and definitely most unique TV episodes ever.

Superstar may be the most underrated since there are plenty who actually didn't like this. I cannot see how that's possible though. You have Jonathan in the credits, but not only that but an alternate reality where he is the best at EVERYTHING, including slaying vampires/demons. That is comedy gold. I cracked up when they had him in the credits pretending everything was completely normal.

I didn't realize "Normal Again," WASN'T highly regarded. I loved the episode, and it's easily one of my top 10 Buffy episodes.

Was Tabula Rasa the Buffy episode where they all get amnesia or the Angel episode where they all get amnesia? Either way, I liked both episodes a lot.

That one was Buffy. It's generally very highly regarded though, but it did happen to come right after OMWF.

I guess maybe i got this off to a muddled start by naming "Restless" as underrated and we are jumping the lines between "best" episodes and those that maybe we didnt notice at first which is what i intended.

Anyway I did go back and watch some good eps that i hadnt seen in awhile since i had some free time this weekend so thanks again for the choices

Yeah, most of the ones mentioned above are fan favorites. I know a lot of people didn't care for Superstar, but I thought it was good. I loved that they went back and inserted Jonathan into the credits. Too funny.

I am watching the whole kit-and-kaboodle from the beginning right now... Just saw "Phases" from S2 last night, really decent episode as Oz becomes a regular.
