Does anyone else imagine the Highlander sound effect every time Kyle and Jesse get the vibe off each other..... or maybe it's just me. :)

Charlie Goose 07-25-07 07:25 AM

I get the same vibe when Declan looks at Kyle.

 Same here.

Did anyone watch last night? I dozed off during the second half, did Steven ever get closure with his father? This show being what it is, I imagine he did.

And was there any revelation about Lori's attacker? It seems obvious that it was Kylie XX.

That sucks I thought they canceled the show. I'm not going to watch this show in SD it's not worth it. The second season is really lacking anyway.

That is the understatement of the year. It's down right horrible and I am giving up on it.

As for last nights resolution. It went exactly as you would think it did.
Spoiler:
Grampa Tregger died, but not before Kyle could read the numbers 11 and 15. They opened granpa's favorite bible to c11 v15 and voila. The letter. granpa had torn up, re taped together and supposedly read. Closure. :grouphug: :yack:

That opens many more possibilities for this show which I feel is running out of steam quick.

MrE 08-02-07 10:34 AM

The best thing about this season ... is that GREEK follows it. Much better show!

Gasspasser 08-25-07 06:36 PM

Wow, you guys been watching this? Moving very quickly and is doing much better than the first half of the season. Pretty much right up there with the first season.

innocentfreak 08-25-07 07:32 PM

I dumped the season pass. I was behind and then I forgot to change the settings on my Tivo resulting in the deletion of a couple of episodes.

mdc3000 08-25-07 07:47 PM

Yeah, the show was slumping for a while, but now it's back on track IMO - pretty exciting stuff and on a par with season 1.

Gasspasser 08-30-07 01:08 PM

Wow what a great episode. Im not sure if that was the season finale but it sure would have been a good one if that was the case.

LaxBandit 09-03-07 08:50 AM

There is a season two marathon today starting at 11:00 am ET which leads into the one hour season finale at 8:00 pm ET.

Exciting finale. I liked how the Traegers were compiling a list of all the weird Kyle happenings, and finally wondering how he could all that. A little surprised to see them initially kind of distance themselves from him until they came to their senses.

And if anyone thinks that Jessie is really dead, I've got a bridge to sell you.

Charlie, This was a ridiculous episode. The keyboard lock on the door had me lauging out loud. Right out of the Goonies. Then the playing of the song over the phone had me rolling my eyes. The characters all moved back in forth from being against Kyle & Jesse to wanting to save them. It was hokey and cheesy ... I like that, but the plot was all over the place and never landed long enough to say anything. The show was simply bad.

Little Joe Meets Paula Poundstone

Charlie Goose 09-05-07 10:14 AM

Okay, the keyboard bit was a little too cheesy, especially since they just happened to find out the name of the song by talking to a diner owner with Alzheimer's.

No kidding. IMO, the 2nd to last episode of this season should have been the finale. But that wouldnt fit in with this show pretty much resolving things to make it all warm and what not.

Still a fairly good end to a great season.

My wife wants to know how much for the bridge...

Chauzer 09-09-07 03:02 PM

just watched the entire season over the last 2 days, wasn't as good as last year, but still pretty good. wish there was more resolution in the finale.

critterdvd 09-09-07 03:52 PM

I havnt posted at all this season because I was always behind watching it. I almost gave up, but watched the last 6 episodes last night and I have to say the show got amazing! I cant wait for the second half of the season. Although personally I think the soap part of the show was much stronger than the mythology.

Anyone want to bet that isnt Bayland, but the original kyle?

Chauzer 09-09-07 05:30 PM

was episode 13 the season finale? waht do you mean by 2nd half of the season? when's it start back up again? sooner than next summer?

Kevin M. Dean 09-09-07 10:55 PM

Apparently the second season was extended to 23 episodes with 10 airing early next year.

mphtrilogy 01-04-08 02:14 PM

So I liked Season One, I only watched two eps of Season 2, and bailed because I had too many other things to watch.

With the Writers Strike in full bloom, there is an opening for another chance at watching this Show Starting on Jan 14th as they show Season 2 eps that lead into new eps this month.

Is it worth it, or did the series tank completely?

Ayre 01-04-08 02:26 PM

I hated season two, but there are a few here that thought it got good after a really bad start. I would say skip it, but if you are anything like me you will watch it.

Jadzia 01-04-08 02:40 PM

I really enjoyed the second season. Others here did not seem to, but I thought it went by really fast. Looking forward to the new eps later this month!

marty888 01-04-08 06:36 PM

I also enjoyed the 2nd season episodes, with a few reservations - but I'm looking forward to the show's return on the 14th.

mphtrilogy 01-07-08 07:20 AM

Thanks!

The Writers Strike puts this one back in the mix.

harrydoyle 01-08-08 02:27 PM

Right there with you...definitely looking forward new episodes of anything, and kyle xy is a bright spot...plus plenty of cliff hangers from the last ep.

Chauzer 03-19-08 03:03 AM

is no one watching this show anymore? i guess the season finale was a couple nights ago... it was nice seeing jesse come around, wish she would stay. liked her a lot in this episode. decent season, i'll continue to watch if it gets renewed.

Charlie Goose 03-19-08 08:19 AM

Another evil group. I wonder if the Amanda abduction be the arc for all of next season.

Ayre 03-19-08 08:26 AM

This season got much better and by the end I was looking forward to it as much as I did in the first season.

The season finale was ok, but they drew out the prom thing a bit too long, ending up with a couple minutes of arc changing plot.

It's renewed. They said as much at the end of the finale.

Gizmo 03-19-08 10:28 AM

Not only was the show renewed for a third season, Jesse will be back in it.

awesome.

Are you frickin kidding me! We have not had cable and was entirely dependent on them showing this on ABC. When did this season start? Wonder if it is available on ABC website like it was last season.

marty888 03-22-08 06:53 AM

Except for that really dumb "after school special" (money missing from the register at ye olde soda shoppe) I enjoyed these past 10 episodes, and look forward to its return.

ABC stopped showing Kyle about a year ago. I think they only aired a few episodes anyway.

Clarification, I dont have cable or internet so I've missed since the break. I guess that I gotta suck it up and get internet at home again so I can watch the newer episodes.

Jadzia 03-28-08 02:02 AM

Very inspired casting with Ally Sheedy as Jessie's "mom".

I have always thought she reminds me of a young Ally Sheedy since the Jessie character was first introduced. Even the voice.
