Prison Break - Casting Spoiler
Looks like Fichtner will get to do a Sam Gerard bit.
Cinescape.com article
PRISON BREAK is adding a new nemesis in William Fichtner. Fitchtner will play a federal agent who must track down and apprehend the escaped convicts.
The second season of "Prison Break" chronicles the manhunt for Michael (Wentworth Miller), Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) and the other inmates who broke out of prison at the end of Season 1.
Shooting for the second season should begin any day in Dallas. Production had to be postponed by a day until the deal with Fichtner was finalized.

So this is pretty much the death knell for Invasion. Oh well.

Cool news. I like this guy in everything I've seen him in, but I just could not get into Invasion. It'll be nice to see him in a show I can acutally watch.

This news means I'm going from someone who watched all the initial eps--but didn't bother coming back after that long haitus--to someone who's gotta catch up in time for Season 2.

I like this guy, except the last thing I saw him in was the atrocious Ultraviolet. Still, I would say his performance was the least embarrassing of the major characters. Even though that's like saying I saw an actor in an old gay porno but at least they were the top.

This is the man who can talk someone into cutting their own arm off, so this news might make me actually watch Prison Break again.

Patricia Wettig is leaving the show and there's no detail as to what the show will do with her character.

PRISON BREAK Season 2 news
TV Guide posted an interview with PRISON BREAK creator Paul T. Scheuring in which he drops a few hints about the upcoming second season.
"In a lot of ways it's going to feel like a different series," said Scheuring. "Obviously, it's all still the exact same story and a continuation of it, but the prison will very quickly regress into the background. We have a new home, which are the roads and small towns and highways of the United States. In that sense, it's going to be a very different show visually, and in terms of feel, but all the characters are the same in terms of their ultimate aspirations."
He continued saying, "A number of episodes in, [Agent] Kellerman is going to encounter a new face in the conspiracy who is very much a snake in the grass."
When asked how many characters would die, Scheuring responded saying, "I don't want to give you a number on that, but people will be surprised within the first third of the year just how many people will pay the price for this escape. We're playing this escape as if it's Pandora's box; in and of itself the escape seems to be an endgame, but they soon realize they've opened up a much larger can of worms than they thought. We're playing for keeps here, and we want to show in very real terms the ramifications."
