Oh, snap, avoid "The Beach"-clones, Vinny!!!

Vince has been going through constant "downfalls" throughout last season. It seemed like nothing went right starting out that he had "cooled off" by doing Head On. His battles with Mandy, his money issues, potentially not getting the AquaMan job after it was "wrapped up" were all downfalls. I'm sure there will be some issues this season, but as of right now, I think they're just playing the fact that he has finally achieved being a major A list start who is enjoying his time at the top. In due time the shit will hit the fan I'm sure, but things haven't been all perfect by any means.

On a different note, I wonder how Adrien Grenier is in real life.... Is he like Vince? His "celebrity status" isn't as big as he is in the show, yet. Think he has an Entourage like Vince does? Me personally, if I was a star, playing the life of a big star, in a show that's supposed to portray celebrities lives, eventually it would seem like personal and TV lives in this particular situation would mesh a bit.....

Also, not to nitpick, but I'm pretty sure it was $5 million for the first, and $7 million for the second (with something like $12 million for the 3rd). They were talking about how it was gonna be $1.2 million for Eric (10% of the first two).

Unless the terms changed once he wasn't such a slam dunk anymore. :)

Recently, someone told me that he's gay. Haven't really tried searching the internet for any support of that though.

I'm going back through season 2, and just saw the episode where Ari gave him the numbers and those are correct unless they changed later on.

According to Doug Ellin on the Season One DVD of Entourage, they found Adrien living a hippie/low key life style on the beach of Mexico. It took lots of convincing to get him to do Entourage. I haven't, however, heard anything about him being gay in RL, though I wouldn't give a shit either way and think he was born to play Vince. For the person who heard he was gay, are you sure your friend wasn't just saying that because Adrien is a "pretty boy" and your friend felt threatened?

Nope, he has a gay cousin who claims to see Grenier in gay bars regularly. I'm not trying to spread rumors, as I have no problem with him being gay (if he is). Just responding to the original post that I heard his lifestyle doesn't resemble that of Vince's.

Was the 2 million check Ari gave him just an advance on the rest? I was confused that he only got 2 instead of 5, although that was "after he cooled off" and I swore I remember something about E only getting $200k, of course that could just be that part of the advance. Awesome show though.

In the Mark Wahlberg Files (extra on the season 2 dvd), Kevin Dillon talks about how the 5 of them spent the entire first season competing for the attention of the female extras. Definitely did not seem like Grenier was gay.
