DirecTV is offering the ultimate programming package.
Every channel, every PPV movie, every sporting event, every adult movie ... all for only $7,500/year.
I think I'll sell the house and sign up.

Over on one of the sat forums, they did the math and figured out that even with every channel, PPV and movie possible, you are only at about $6500 or so. Where does that other $1000 come in? Nobody knows. I guess after a year the price goes up to $10,000 too.

I saw one guy speculate that they did this so they could sue hackers for $7,500 for every year they could prove they were stealing programming.

You do all realize that that price is for 10 systems, right? So a calculation for every channel and every PPV etc. would be significantly higher.
I'd sure as hell pay $62.50/mth for everything including an HD PVR. Of course, there's a feasibility issue of splitting up a 10 piece package when, presumably, you still need a phone line connected for your PPV tracking.

As mentioned above, I'd bet that they are just setting a price for "everything" so that when they prove that somebody used a hacked card they can sue them for $7,500 per year for programming.
