Trixie was telling me that the "fine print" of the show, that the winner doesn't actually get to RUN this new Vegas restaurant's kitchen but is simply guaranteed a job commensurate with that person's ability. What's THAT about?! -confused-

Here's a link to a few more Virginia pics from an earlier show:

One thing that really bugs me about Keith, and Ramsay mentioned it too, was how he does not look at Ramsay when he speaks. When Ramsay asked Keith to explain his dish, Keith began to look to the sides, looking really nervous. He also looks away when Ramsay yells at him, or even when he offers advice. I know teenagers do that all the time ( I work with them), but you grow out of that nervousness, and Keith hasn't. I certainly wouldn't want him running a restaurant associated with my name. That, and he's a big fat slob. I've seen big chef, and fat chefs, but none of them are slobs. K-Grease needed to go.
Oh, and I must be blind, because I don't see the favoritism towards Virginia. She's a dope, yes, but she does win when it counts. I mean, for a signature dish from a chef of Ramsays qualifications, would you use mashed potatoes?? I wouldn't. Virginia was the only one who didn't.

And the Red Rock Resort's new salad chef is....

I can't see Virginia winning this. She's lost when there is too much pressure. When she yells, that high pitch is a killer. She's better off working under someone.

I think that's exactly what Ramsey is hoping for......

I loved how Ramsay seemed genuinely hurt when Keith called him out on his relationship with Virginia (what exactly did he say?). When Ramsay asked why he had to be so mean, I nearly lost it. Then when Keith said that Ramsay was always mean, Ramsay's response of "So?" just about cracked me up.

K-Grease told Gordon that the only reason that Gordon picked her to go on is because he[Gordon that is] wanted to titty fuck her. I find it rich that Keith thought that Ramsay was playing favoritism. Gordon's been kissing Keith's ass for the whole month. Just last week, he gave Keith a pep talk instead of a chew out when Keith served undercooked pasta to the three celebrity chefs.

atari2600 08-08-06 11:33 AM

no way k-grease said "titty fuck" under the bleep. or did he?!

The producers are safe-guarding themselves as they did in season 1. Winner Michael was also supposed to get his own restaurant, but in the last ep. there was suddenly a choice between the restaurarnt and an apprenticeship with Ramsay. He chose the London apprenticeship. My guess is that this season's winner will get a PR role similar to the winner's of The Apprentice.

I thought he said, "You've got a hard-on for Virginia." I could be totally wrong, though.

They wouldn't bleep that out. Fuck has to be in there. Now, if Keith said titty fuck, that would have been awesome.

StealthStratos 08-08-06 11:59 AM

Here's the recap from fox.com:

"Chef Ramsay reiterates that he personally doesn’t think Keith is ready to lead. Keith succinctly replies that he thinks Chef Ramsay has a… well… let’s just say affinity for Virginia. Although Keith’s actual words were much more forceful. Much more… hard on Chef Ramsay. Chef Ramsay is now positive that he made the right decision."

SBatL8y 08-08-06 01:12 PM

I only see a little favoritism toward Virginia. She won the challenges fair and square. She simply made Chef's dish better than Heather or Keith. Maybe she flirted with the contruction workers, but I'd honestly like her meal better too. It sounded better at least. I think Keith and Heather have major jealousy issues, that was obvious last night. If they had been winning challenges, they certainly wouldn't be acting like that. I think they were lucky at all that Virginia spent a few dollars on them after her shopping spree. I wouldn't have after the way they'd been acting. She bombs under pressure, but I think she did well last night - not because Chef favors her, but it showed that she did well. Probably due to Chef's tips - but still, she earned that by winning the challenge. Heather and Keith needed to suck it up and stop being poor losers about it.

zuffy 08-08-06 01:31 PM

Virginia can't make up her up if she is ready for this opportunity or not. If she really want this opportunity, she should be 100% confident that she can do the job. Don't be so fucking indecisive.

Sweet Baby James 08-08-06 01:36 PM

I wonder if Larry the fishmonger will be medically cleared to participate in the finale next week.:hscratch:

saoirse 08-08-06 02:15 PM

I'm just glad ass grease is finally gone. well at least he won't win.

jackson2006 08-08-06 03:38 PM

My boyfriend wishes I had a couple things Virginia has? I hope Heather wins but based on the preview for next week. I think Virginia does.

The term they always use to describe the prize is "Executive Chef." Typically the Executive Chef makes decisions specific to the running of the kitchen, such as menu, personnel, food ordering, etc. Think of it as the kitchen manager. But the Executive Chef reports to the food and beverage manager, who is actually responsible for the overall operation of the restaurant (wait staff, bar, etc).

Heather had an unfair advantage going into the game already being a Sous chef. I'm almost positive she is a lesbian, not that it matters. Sadly, she was the only one I could see winning, barring a major screw up, she will win the contest. Looking back this field of contestants was better as a whole, but only had one contender...last season had two real ones. For the record Michael could easily beat heather in a cook off.

johnnysd 08-08-06 11:12 PM

Actually, I think that Virginia nice tits or not, IS actually the best chef. She wins every competition. I think that like all reality shows they are editing it to make it seem like she is getting by purely on her hotness and Ramsays lust. I think she is going to win.

atari2600 08-08-06 11:56 PM

she doesnt win each competition because shes the best chef. she wins because gordon loves her.

notice EVERY DAMN TIME he gets to choose the winner and the prize is hanging out with him he chooses the team virginia is on (or if its an individual prize, he chooses virginia).

I never took it for nervousness...I think Keith hated him but knew he shouldn't confront him and stay on the show.

Hopefully Vigina doesn't win, Heather is much more deserving. I guess looks does play a big part.
