Best Cliffhanger this season
 

I can think of five shows that I watch this year that had a great cliffhanger for next season here they are in my order
1. Lost
2. The Office
3. 24
4. Prison Break
5. CSI Miami

What are the best cliffhangers in your opinion.

I thought ER had a pretty decent cliffhanger; nothing like HUGE but a bunch of unfinished lil storylines.

Invasion
One Tree Hill
Smallville

Battlestar Galactica.

The Shield. Not a cliffhanger in the strictest sense (there's no immediate big thing that needs resolution), but I really can't wait to see what happens next.

In that order - all three left me eagerly looking forward to next season.

House - even though we know what is going to happen - I can't wait to see the repercussions.

The last 10 minutes I just sat with my jaw resting on the floor as all (I think at final count there where 7) the cliff-hangers kept coming one after another...

It's a toss up for me between Lost and Battlestar. 24's was pretty good though, too.

Supernatural was good.

Damn! I forgot about that one! Yes, that was a good cliffhanger - and now that we know the show's back next year, we'll see how it's resolved.

Lost, easily. I'm also curious to see where 24 leads next year, but until I'm assured Jack starts the season in a I won't get too excited since they basically skirted the entire "he's living underground, supposedly dead" thing in less than one hour this season.

What cliffhanger is everyone so excited about in The Office? Does anyone really think that Pam will actually marry Roy? This thing's got a Ross / Rachel vibe and I think it's a better show than that.

I disagree - I think the realism of the Jim/Pam ending in The Office Finale clearly showed just how much superior the writing in the show is to the completely sitcom-y Friends. Ross & Rachel redux? Not even close.

I love the writing on The Office, but do you really think that final scene was all that realistic?

Jim's confession to Pam was completely realistic. And her "you misinterpreted our friendship" reaction was very familar to any guy who's been through that.

And even Jim following her into the office and kissing her was realistic, particularly in a way that Friends never was.

I think you do the writing and acting of the Ross and Rachel storyline a disservice...at least until the night after they were "on a break"--then it got a fair amount less realistic and more silly (deliciously so, though, I would say).

I don't know about that... it completely reminded me of the first time Ross and Rachel kissed.

24's was better than Lost's.
