Favorite current MTV show

We all hate them, and life would be better without them, but like a fat girl wearing a skirt and sitting down on a bench across from you with her legs spread wide open to release all her glory, we just cant help but watch them.

so whats your favorite?

Out of that group. Real World

Frankly Vh1 surpassed MTV years ago not only in music but also in tv shows. Surreal Life, My Fair Brady, Hogan knows Best, and few others are great.

The only MTV related show I could actually call a "favorite" is Wonder Showzen on MTV2.

I guess Next is slightly entertaining in a car wreck kind of way.

The Challenges, by far. Not only are they trashy, but it's just good wholesome entertainment.

Next and Date My Mom are in the "so bad, it's good" camp (similar to the syndicated Elimidate).

Not a big MTV watcher here obviously, I've never heard of most of those shows.
I do like to catch Punk'd whenever I remember, although I've never heard of many of the celebrity victims either. I haven't been hip since the mid-80s. And even then it was a stretch.

Agreed. I watch and really enjoy WonderShowzen, but I don't watch any of the shows included in the poll.

I agree. "The Challenges" are very entertaining in a - "Hey look, that 30 year old is still trying to retain his youth!" kind of way.

I'll say "My Super Sweet 16" follows that. I hate it so much, but I like watching these little idiots act like dumbasses.

The only think I watch on MTV are music videos on the rare occassion that they actually play something

1) New, and/or
2) Good

But 90% of it is radio fith and (c)rap

I watch the DVDs to "Laguna Beach" (my friend roped me in), and if I am dying of boredom, I will usually check out 'Room Raiders'... I wish the old seasons of "Road Rules" would come out on DVd though....

My Super Sweet 16. Nothing beats watching hot 16 years old brats stickin' it to dear old Mom and Pop.

The Challenges for sure, though even these are getting a little tired.

Sweet 16 is a car wreck kind of show. I never set out to watch that show, but if I ever stop channel surfing on MTV when it's on for more than 3 minutes, I end up watching the show. "Daddy buy me a car! I deserve it!" Ugh, but I can't help it.

The Young Ones.

Original MTV programming, toss up between 120 Minutes, Headbanger's Ball, and Martha Quinn's Closet Classics.

Of the poll choices? NOTA.

But The Young Ones wasn't an MTV show, it was BBC. It was just shown on MTV, much like Monty Python's Flying Circus.

But yeah, gotta love old school 120 Minutes and Alternative Nation. Remember Remote Control also? I believe that was the first non-music video program for the network. And it's amazing to look back and realize how many people went on to become famous today. The ones that I can recall right off the top of my head: Adam Sandler, Dennis Leary and Collin Quinn. I also enjoyed Liquid Television back in the day.

I LOVED "120 Minutes"/"Alternative Nation" back in the day. I highly recommend checking out VH1 Classic's "The Alternative".

As for non-music programming, nothing can top "The State". (I'm not really a fan of the network anymore and hardly in its demographic)

That's one of three things I've got my DVR recording for me
I don't always get to watch it, and I don't like every song/video, but there's much more hits than misses.

Remote Control: Yeah, that was a fun one...those big chairs the contestants were in, and dorky Ken Ober.

Liquid Television was pretty good. Some of the shorts, I liked better than others.

I completely forgot about The State! There was some good stuff on there. What about Sifl and Olly? That was MTV, too, wasn't it? Of course, I still love Beavis and Butt-head as well. In fact, I think I like it better now than when it was actually on the air. The videos on that show were priceless.
