Two and a Half Men -- "That Pistol-Packin' Hermaprodite" -- 05/22/06

Is there not that much sitcom talk on this forum? Anyway, how can a show that has both Emmanuelle Vaugier and April Bowlby on at the same time go wrong? Especially when Bowlby looks like she's going to pop out any second? Although they did look fake though.

Anyway, I guess it wasn't any surprise that Charlie isn't going to get married anytime soon on this show, probably not until the last season if at all (especially now that there's no way Denise Richards is ever going to come back). I wonder if, now that The West Wing is done, Martin Sheen will make more appearances as Rose's dad now that she's gone super psycho.

Also, does anyone know why "Rose" was taken off the opening credits and moved to the guest star end credits? Especially when Alan's ex-wife is stil on the opening credits and she's in less episodes.

I missed this ep. I have no Tivo so I had to do the two VCR approach and I had to use one for 24 and the other for ALIAS. I adore April Bowlby.

I too have wondered why Melanie Linskey (Rose) is MIA lately. Perhaps her contract was not renewed and she moved on to something else?

I really can't see Alan moving out. Both he and Kandi are already living there together because he can't afford much after child support, so where's he going to get the cash for a place to live? The dump he tried a few eps ago showed his budget, so I think he's staying. The plot of the show without him in the house would be almost nothing. Except for his car and that bar, they don't use many sets.

Kandi in HD is great, but this week isn't as good as last week's pirate outfit.

My DVR cut off the last half of this. Can anyone recap what happened?

Let's see:

Rose shows up at Mia's place wearing a wedding dress and this freaks Mia out, so she heads to Charlie's place, and tells him about Rose, and Charlie does his best to minimize the stalker-ness of Rose. Then Mia and Charlie decide to elope, so they head to Vegas, and bring Alan and Candi along. Before they get to the wedding vows, Mia and Charlie talk privately about their honeymoon, and Charlie is open to anywhere, but Mia needs to go back to work, and wants to use the honeymoon money for improvements to Charlie's house, and then Charlie realizes that Mia wants Alan and Jake to move out of the house, but Charlie wants no part of that plan, so they call off the wedding. Charlie walks back into the chapel and finds out that Alan and Candi have decided to get married, so Alan as to borrow Charlie's ring for the ceremony and is elated to tell Charlie that he's moving out of Charlie house since he's getting married and they need their own place. And Charlie just can't freaking believe it (while getting sloshed on wine). "To Be Continued"

I'm just glad Candi will at least be back for the season opener, but hoping she'll stick around.

So now her name is spelled with a C? I thought it was Kandi.

Anyhoo, although I doubt it'll ever happen, I hope April Bowlby becomes a regular cast member on this show.

Sorry, it was late into the wee morning when I wrote that synopsis. IMDB lists her as "Kandi" as well, and supposedly she's been added to the cast for next season. Good news!

I only half watched this episode as I was doing some other things while this was on. Can somebody explain the title of the episode, because I totally missed any possible reason for that title?

Charlie called Mia's sister "That Pistol-Packin' Hermaprodite" after the dinner between their 2 families (the families didn't get along with each other).
