Who watches American Idol in 5.1 Surround Sound?
I was wondering how many of us watch AI in DD 5.1 vs. how many watch it through the speakers on the TV.
Sometimes I get to work and people say a particular contestant sounded great or sucked... and I think the exact opposite - I know they don't have surround sound so I wonder if Joe-6-Pack is making an informed decision each week?
I think that 5.1 is the closest thing we at home can get to what the judges are hearing.

I got a decent Sony system-in-a-box, and watch it through my Directv, but I don't think it's in DD, or my receiver would tell me so.
