Oc Season 4
Unconfirmed reports are coming in (several times), that Fox has picked up "the War at Home," "the OC," and "The Loop" for next season.

There's an article about the show in this week's EW. Josh Swartz said he is returning to the show full time(why did he leave cut back his envolvement?) and make the show more fun again. He also noted that there will be a character death that will change the show forever.

My money's on Marissa or Sandy - although hopefully the former, and not the latter.

I will tune in every week if they make Anna a regular cast member, though she is not quite the character I fell in love with in Season 1 (But who on the show isn't inferior to their Season 1 counterpart?).

Yep, the writers of that show never cease to amaze with their boundless creativity and originality. Can't wait to see what surprises they have in store for us with Season 4.

if this news about The Loop is true, I'm going to be so fucking happy. The OC was pretty much a given. Does anyone actually watch War at Home? I ditched that after 2 laughless episodes...here's hoping Fox finds a good slot for the Loop, promotes the hell out of it and doesn't move it around week to week...

Look, I used to really love the OC. If it was like Season 1 was, then I'd be on your side (although the 24 comment is, opinion aside, ridiculous), but S2/S3 are crapfests. There's ZERO originallity, and what made it great (Seth's neuroses, Julie's bitchery, Ryan's struggle, budding young love) is gone, replaced with nonsense and recycled Melrose Place storylines.
And America agrees. The groundswell that inspired Season 1 to additional episodes order is gone. Support for the show dropped so much that FOX almost didn't renew it; and in order to do so, Schwartz has had to "relaunch it", with new characters, which almost always spells doom for a franchise.
Now you can disagree with my opinion, but especially in light of the above, I can't see any justification for yours (and keep 24 out of it, that has NOTHING to do with the OC).

Damnit...my unhappy marriage to the OC continues....for some reason I just can't abandon it. Maybe it's because of Julie and Kirsten.
But I'm VERY happy about The Loop! Let's just hope they don't pull a Tru Calling on it....cuz that horrible.

Again, 24 is just the same crap over and over. How many times can the president be in danger? How many times is there a 'mole' working with them. C'mon. OC may reuse plotlines over and over (Ryan and Marrissa, ugh), but *I* still find it an enjoyable show, as does others.
Where are you getting any information that fox 'barley' renewed The OC? Too my knowledge it has not even been announced yet officialy by Fox; same with The Loop.
If you're not here to go 'Awesome, OC got renwed' just leave. There is no purpose for you to come here and bash it. Its not like The OC is in its 10th season (*cough* 7th Heaven).

I share the other opinions that say that Season 2 and part of 3 (I stopped watchnig regularly)have been very mudane and no where near as good as Season 1.
Yawn. Again, opinion. Just because YOU and some others don't like The OC does not mean everyone shares this opinions.
