But on the positive front for Heroes, it was the #1 show in the 18-49 demo... We'll have to see how it does next week before we know how much that long hiatus hurt it.
|
I hope this is not the sign that all serial dramas must start in January now in order to avoid losing viewers.
Drive took a major nosedive in episode 4. I guess networks shouldn't launch high priced serial dramas so late in the season. It seems like there is pretty much no interest from viewers to watch them. 4.60 M viewers and a 1.8 in the 18-49 demo...IMO, the show is dead. 24's lowest rated episode of the season....Not a surprise considering Heroes returned. It still did pretty in the 18-49 demo. |

Heroes has borrowed from Lost so much that they are now attaining pretty much the exact same ratings (in both viewer numbers and 18-49 demo)!!! Except that one airs at 9pm and has an 11m viewer lead-in while the other airs at 10pm and leads-out from something like 3 million viewers.

Anyone else find it odd that CSI:NY scores about the same audience new and repeat?
Anywho, Lost seems pretty content with its current 7.2/12 ratings. The repeat was just pitiful score-wise. |
^ Serial dramas never do well in repeats. Lost, Grey's Anatomy and others (I don't seem to recall Fox ever running reruns of 24) seem to do around 3-5m when in repeats (no matter what night). But it is impressive that dispite pitiful lead-ins, Lost does as well as it does getting 11-12m per week...

First ever outright victory over CSI: NY for LOST in both viewers and key demo, when both shows are airing original episodes. Usually LOST will own CSI in the key demo but come second place by a small margin in total viewers. This is a great development, in addition to finishing second place on both counts for the entire night (to the Idol ratings juggernaut).

Also remember that its lead-in, Criminal Minds, was a repeat... It'll be interesting to see if Lost still comes in first when CM is new. In any case, Lost still does quite well given its lead-in every week is horrible (usually getting only 5m, if that).

Finally Lost beat out CSI: NY but the ratings for both shows are nothing to write home about. |

Despite it's low viewership, I like that The Office still holds up relatively well in the key demo. That being said, I still hope Season 4 is its last.
